So comfortable with each other and taking comfort in each other. The two of them giving support and strength to the other while standing united as grandparents for their grandaughter was touching and heartbreaking. Also brought back many memories of their love throughout the years.

I absolutely loved those scenes! It was touching and sweet to see Victor's tenderness with Nikki.
I, for one, think that they will eventually get back together. If the rumor/spoiler (so much crap on here about these things I can't figure which is which) about Nikki being kidnapped is correct this might be a good way for Victor to realize how much he does love her. Not sure what they'll do with Ashley but the way she's headed maybe a permanent trip to a pretty padded cell?
Anyway....they both nailed those scenes.

Victor even called her "Sweetheart" more than once....old habits and feelings die hard. I don't think it was the germs that he was worried about when telling Ashley the hospital was no place for her...............

Didn't they say that Eileen Davidson will be leaving sometimes in 2009.

Where did you hear this? "They say" isn't always a real accurate source and there are many rumors and half truths swirling around these message boards.
However...if Eileen Davidson does leave it would sure fit the story line (they'd probably kill her off) and pave the way for a Victor/Nikki reunion. I have always loved Eileen in this role but truly hate what a mess the writers have made of her character - she is a wimpy faint shadow of her former independent take charge self.

When Ashley found out she was Brett Davis daughter on his death bed I wasn't surprised...both her mom, Dina and Katherine were both too hot to handle LOL!
I always wished Ashley would turn out to be Katherine's daughter and not Dina's.....and that there was a switch. But wishful thinking....love those pre DNA testing days!!

Yes and the strangeness of it all is IF Sabrina and baby had lived, or if Ashley didn't miscarry, then the baby that Victor would have fathered would have been YOUNGER than his own grandchildren!!!

Ha Ha Ha..and Noah thinks his half sister his mother is carrying is Jacks whose sister is having his grandfather's baby! And...his grandfather's daughter Abby is the same age as he is and he is Victors grandson.

I for one hope that Victor and Nikki are NEVER in a romantic relationship with each other again. With that said, I have always pulled for the warm and supportive relationship they have right now and I've posted that hope on these boards many times. It took Victor and Nikki such a long time to get to the point of where they are now, but I'm so very happy that they finally made it. There is no question that the two have family bonds and a caring that will tie them together FOREVER. Even if Eileen Davidson does leave — there's no reason for this to translate into Victor and Nikki re-uniting. There is no question that the two have a romantic history that is nothing short of toxic — they simply don't bond on this level. This happens to real-life as well as fictional characters and it's okay — it doesn't mean that they have to be physically apart nor does it mean they can't have deep and loving feelings for each other. It simply means that there are many different kinds of love but Victor and Nikki can never have a romantic kind of love — it just doesn't work and it just won't last — and this has been proven over and over and over again. As far as Victor calling Nikki "Sweetheart": people call other people "Sweetheart" or "Precious Love" or "Beloved" all the time, but these words alone don't have any romantic implication. Victor never even remotely implied anything else.

I loved watching Victor and Nikki together. That scene was so touching and it reminded me of their past. I think that they are so great together but I really don't care for Victor and Ashley together. Victor and Nikki have been like the icons of the show and Victor showed his support for Nikki in this scene. And I could feel Nikki's pain. They are truly great actors.

I did enjoy watching EB and MTS in the hospital scenes. I have never been a Victor/Nicki fan but Love between them was obvious. Not in a romantic way but a very sincere, comforting way. It was really nice to see them interacting without all the hostility they have shown lately. If nothing else it showed they could get over the past for their love of their granddaughter. They really are awesome in scenes together.
