Quote Soulsistah: Quote clb6: Why should Nick even be thinking about ANYTHING but the fact that his DAUGHTER in in a coma and fighting for her life! NOthing should matter to him right now but that!!!!! I thinks that's to assume a person can't love two children at the same time - even if one isn't born yet. Given the tragedy Nick barely survived with Cassie's death, Summer being in a coma is a horrible reminder of that and he's dealing with that nightmare as well as "losing" another daughther by being told Jack is the father of Sharon's baby. I think it makes perfect sense. Thanks Soul! You can love as many as your heart is open too. Nick's remarks seem very appropiate....Why me....some just need to think about it....many have cried out the same thing and given the circustances it seems justified. |

Quote Oreo123: Quote yrnub: IT is very simple...Nick is grieving...everyone grieves differently...in his or her own way. GRIEVING? You only grieve when someone dies...Summer is in a coma not dead! He talked himself into being the father of Sharon's baby and in reality his wish came true until......Sharon saw you and Phyllis coping with Summer's tragic condition and thought it best she tell Jack he is the father.....their are views like hers that say she was thinking of Summer and Nick not her own child and those that do not share that view. Regardless.....he is suppossed to be praying for Summer in that Chapel..not complaining about what God took or may take from him...it is about Summer and not you. Sadly he still doesn't get it. LMAO! Nick is always grieving about this or that. It's his carte blanche do to anything he wants. |

Quote Soulsistah: Quote KeepingItReal: How come I haven't read that Phyllthy prayed yet....didn't she go to the alter for her miracle child. Whatsup with that.... I know she got a lot of skeleton in her closet but don't she feel a need to pray for her daughter.... Please "enlighten" me that she did go to the chapel and prayed....... Can Satan pray to God?? He tests him, mocks him and tries to think he is bigger than him.... Phyllthy got some serious issues. Cause she seems to be on this power trip and very judgemental of others....DAT one needs to go pray! |

Quote Sunnyflower: I think watching any of these heathens praying is laughable. Nick can't understand why the good lord is being so cruel to him? Really? Really? As another poster said, the only think Nick should pray for is strength to be a better man. Anyone one can pray at any time.....no one should feel they can judge anyone if they do.......that judgement is reserved for Him...... Many have fallen but it takes a bigger person to bow down and pray! |

Reminds me of some verses in the bible and Moses crying out woe is me or David, Elijah, etc....many have cried out........it deeper than you think..... |

But again, I totally get where Nick is coming from with that scene: feels like he lost "Faith" (to Jack) and may lose Summer too. I don't get why Nick shoudn't be so upset about the news of Sharon's baby...people actually are capable of being emotionally upset over more than one thing at a time. |

She really does.....need an intervention. Nick is broken......I don't even have to watch to know how he is feeling....I'm sure the scene was deep. |

Well it is your perrogative I'm all for praying and I do think you are right that people should pray as they wish, BUT, in the context of this soap and all that, Nick came off somewhat self-entitled and spoiled in the scene that I caught, like he was being persecuted or something....And that didn't sit right with me. |

I guess when a person goes through one tragedy after another regarding their children (Cassie, Summer, "Faith"), it's easy for them to feel that God is punishing them because it seems so unfair. |

In the context of the soap I'm sure you know the history of how Nick came to this state of mind.....I would think the "woe is me" seems fitting. Now tell me why is it the Phyllis does not feel the "woe"......as a mother you would think that would be the first place she should turn to given her sordit history....... Guess this character feel no shame in her actions much less....but who am I to speculate what she feels.......I wont debate what her twisted mind feels. Many people seem to turning to prayers during times of difficulty.....nothing wrong with that....hypocritacal or not....at least they turn to it. |

Rashy did the same thing no? Stating that she was being punished for all the bad things she's done, etc...which is akin to the "why me?" syndrome, IMO. LMAO! Maybe they are being punished and rightfully so. |

He abandoned Sharon and Noah, and then Phyllis and Summer, and he is crying woe is me? That is a laugh and a half. He treats women like dirt, yet he has never had to sleep alone since he was a teenager. I think he has it pretty damn good and he should recognize that and stop feeling sorry for himself. |
