These one or two posters in this thread who say Cane is wrong for lying were probably defending Chloe for doing the same thing. Cane is wrong and he ask for forgiveness and will soon pay by losing his wife. Chloe was wrong for lying she apologized months after her deed and lost nothing. The whole town welcomed her with open arms If she had of had half the humiliation that Cane received today before half the town she would be redeemed by now.

Lily worships the ground he walks on. He was wrong for lying & hurting people but you cant turn love on & off like a faucet. { O.K. maybe soap people can.} Lily just said the other day it doesn't matter if he's a Chancellor she loves him for himself. I do think he really loves her!

:( I could NOT watch US Friday's show. I can not beleive what I am hearing. Cane is the sweetes guy ever and everysingle peron stoned him! WOW! I realize that this is a soap...I get it, But:

1. Jill - I am surprised she didn't hug him and say that it is ok - we will get thru this being that she just lost Catherine as her mother.

2. Billy -(whom I love) should have shut his mouth and sat on his hands..

3. Neil - OMG! I know What he should have done was took Cane and Lily out of that house and talked to Cane and ask why he did this. Listen first.

4. Chl-hoee - Don't even get me statred. She AIN'T learned her lessons yet, the minipulating little TWIT.

5. My Girl Lily - Of all people she should have hugged him and said it is ok...we are going to get thru this. Knowing what she knew about herself Malcom and Dru.

My opinion is this: A lie is a lie and it is wrong regardless of why you are doing it. but to Kill, Cheat, Maim, mar, Manipulate, deceive to gain Financialy is far worse than a man that was sent to town - found a mach family, loved them ; warts & all married the girl of his dreams and asked for NOTHING IN RETURN is a hell of alot redeemable than the other charachters on this show that people tend to love to death. example: Chlo-hoee, Billy, Kevin (of all people) Jana (murderest) Micheal who has aided and abeted a pack of crimnals. Glo-hag, Phyllis, Nick, Sharon, Victor, Nikki - hell the list goes on. OMG!

I just don't know if I can turn it back on. but Cane & Lily will get thru this. Lily and Cane need to go off somewhere and really talk, Realize the Lily married an ASHBY and get on with their lives. If she can forgive what Kevin ( STD, Statutory Rape and tried to keep her from her family ) and Daniel (Set her up w/kevin to drug her and get Alex to be the bad guy and let it look as if kevin saved the day - which worked ) did to her, my God clearly she can forgive sweet Cane!

Thank you, excellent wording for a thread. No truer words have ever been typed. I was like oh no, they did not just go there. nobody at that BBQ could and should talk. It is unbelievable. I kind of expected Lily not to understand, but after everything those so called self-righteous town ppl have done, I was especially surprised at Kay's reaction. Look how sweet, understanding and accepting she was with Amber and Chloe. She identifies with Amber. Amber has done some despicable things but she got no tongue lashing only love and understanding from Kay. I just couldn't believe it. Billy is still the selfish, rich kid he has ever been (just committed adultery), Neil shouting stay away from his daughter and Cane will pay for this. What will Neil pay for? Neil has so many things to pay for. Has he ever paid? Gee, Neil you should remember that Karen is someone's daughter too yet that didn't stop you from tearing Karen's heart out. There are no words for Chloe and Esther. With these kind of ppl calling themselves family, no wonder Cane was afraid to come clean. I would be too. Let's face it, we all have sinned and made mistakes. I understand feelings of shock and surprise but understanding and forgiveness should be right around the corner knowing that they are no better than Cane. My heart breaks for Cane because now he's the town's outcast. PC3 has admitted that he was the one behind this scheme but no one is listening to him. Cane is going to need friends now more than ever and I hope that there are still some fair and understanding ppl in GC possibly Amber, Colleen (hopefully), Mac and PC3 because all the others are perfect, they have never lied or made mistakes.

cane is a hypocrite, and if i was lilly i wouldn't take him back because he left her to marry chloe when he knew all along it was not his baby and then tried to get custody of the baby.....where are the writers going with this???? it does not make sense.....if you are not the father, why would you want the baby????...if he really loved lilly he would have been trying to have a baby with her...........

Maybe the reactions are the way they are because he was this Moral Authority always getting in everyone's face so righteous PLEASE GMFB feel sorry no, if u have a secret and know your poo poo is stinking then you don't take such a high moral position with everyone and take things so far like he did. If he would of acted more understanding knowing he was lying for a good reason ??? why did he never give anyone a break? you reap what you sow. After the way he treated and talked to Billy, Chloe(who did apologize), Amber ( whom he turns out used to get to GC can't wait for this to come out!) he deserves to be treated this way cuz in the end he was the biggest Hypocrite!

It doesn't matter who you are or what size your town is, every town has it's "Folks with Issues"....

I agree none of them have a right to talk - they've all (except for maybe Lily) lied, cheated and manipulated for years to get what/who they wanted.
NOW Neil is getting all righteous? Hah...he should remember salivating over Tyra's "charms" while still married to Karen.
Jill? Oh sure, you're such a virtuous woman...your price isn't above rubies..maybe rhinestones?
Chloe? I love you, Cupcake, but you're still taking baby-steps on the path to redemption.
Billy? Give me a break, Studmuffin - you get called to the scene straight from being in bed with your partner in adultery and have a right to deck Cane?

I do think that Lily and Cane will be able to work it all out if people will leave them alone - they need to talk, talk and more talk.

This is a great turn of events and I'll be interested to see what happens when the dust settles. It's a lot more interesting than seeing Phick and Shick going back and forth.
