All the Winters are hypocrites! Devon lusting after Tyra and judging Cane, Lily who thinks she is holier than thou, Neil who cheated on Karen within days of marriage, who kicked Dru to the curb on more than one occasion. Oh yeah lets not forget dear Lily pushing Cane to marry Chloe because it is the right thing to do for the baby. Let us not forget her remark "I would love you even if you weren't a Chancellor" Add to that I happen to think Lily is the only one I have any hope of becoming a near normal person.

Neil has definitely fallen from grace in my eyes over that Tyra mess, but one thing has nothing to do with the other.

He cheated on his wife. It happens.

Lying about who you are and deceiving a family that was wrought with grief over a death of a loved one is way over the top. Hiding blood, etc. I mean seriously, can you really compare what Neil did to what Cane did.

He has every right to rip into Cane and to defend his daughter. It's his DAUGHTER!! What do you expect? For him to give him a pat on the back and say it's okay that you lied to my daughter about who you really are, deceived people into thinking you were a Chancellor, and broke off an engagement to my daughter to raise a baby you knew wasn't yours, all to protect P3. GMAFB.

For Lily's situation, it's not just about the scheme, it's about the fact that he gave her up to raise a child that wasn't his. He put P3 and the scheme before his "love" for Lily. That's sort of unforgivable. When he fell in love, he should have told people the truth. But he decided to be loyal to P3 over Lily.

How anyone can defend that is beyond my comprehension.

I am on Cane's side as well. Cane is still Cane Ashby, he's still a clean cut guy, he still loves Lilly. So whats the beef? He was just doing what a friend asked him to do, and trying to be sincere and confidential to a friend. Why is everyone upset with Cane? He needs to step up to the plate and let Neil and the rest of those idiots have it. After all, he bought a bar to work in rather than take money he know he didn't have the right to. I think he was pretty upright. I hope the writers save him from those Geneoa City elitest. I hope Lily comes up pregnant now, so she can quit being a cry baby and realize what a gem she really have. He only want to be in a nice family, or have a nice family. Boy, these writers can really turn a story sour. They must live miserable lives.

I'm not sure what to think right now about Cane except I'm sure he did not want anyone to get hurt by his deception. I do know that I have not been a fan of Neil's character for some time and feel that Lily is a grown woman who does not constantly need her daddy's protection. Let her heal her wounds a bit and ask for help if SHE needs it.

Neil needs to mind his own business. There is nothing wrong with being supportive of your "daughter", but she is a grown married woman. What she does with husband is for her to decide. His job is to support;not dictate or react violently towards Cane. As for Cane, he never used the name Chancellor. He always called himself Ethan or Cane Ashby. The only document he signed incorrectly was Cordelia's birth certificate when he signed as "Cane" Ashby instead of Ethan Ashby. When Jill told him to take the Chancellor name, he said "NO". The DNA test, now that would have taken a lot of label changing. The receipt that each person would have received would have had the same label on the sample. Everyone would have to sign and take pictures. Someone needs to sue that genetics lab and fire everyone in the building. Cane should have Lily that he didn't "think" that he was Philip Chancellor III because of the problems with the first test. After all Lily did say that she loves him no matter what his name was. If she can stop loving him so easily, Cane doesn't need her. Love doesn't change because of a name.

I think the writers are trying to undo all the weird S/L's that the previous (fired) head writer created, but everything is so disjointed and sensless now.
Don't even get me started on the Heather character!

...yea, neil made me laugh....Cane is SO horrible for lying about who he is but it's perfectly OK for Tyra to pretend she's and Aunt....a Mother...what else...double standards for neil

I feel really bad for Cane. He did go about things the wrong way, but Neil, Lily, and Jill act as if they had never made a mistake. Lily is a pretty good gal, but the Lord wants us to FORGIVE
