I find that even though Cane lied about who he isn't, I cannot stand the self righteousness of Neil, Lily, and Jill. I would rather have a Cane in my life, and I would certainly listen to his explanation. His behavior deserves that at the very least.
Especially Neil. Who the HELL does he think he is. He betrayed Karen just as much and he continues to set himself up as some kind of standard of honesty.
I really hate that kind of man.

Ita ! I wish the writers would just let Lily grow up and tell Niel to please just butt out! He has no leg to stand on. He lied twice to Karen and humiliated her in court by going against her for Tyra. Sleeping with another woman after only three months of marriage. The man lives in a glass house and he definitely cannot throw any stones at Cane!

You know why I side with Neil, Lily and Jill? Because Cane had more than one chance to just tell the truth. Instead he more or less calls Nina a liar, especially when he knows her child's lie hangs in the balance, and continues the farce. If he told no one, he should have confided in Lily. Yes he does love them all but the fact that he preached to everyone who didn't walk the straight and narrow - Billy!! Amber!! and threatened to take Chloe's child - is outrageous!! No he deserves some punishment.

I'm on Cane's side too!

If silly Lilly loved him soooooo much, then she would listen to what he has to say and THEN decide whether or not she wants to stick around. To me, her love is shallow! When she was soooo much in love with Daniel and then left him without trying to work things out.

As for Neil, as others have said its his daughter and he doesn't want to see her hurt. I totall get that but Neil is the last person to be in someone's face about betrayal! He cheated on Dru and Karen...real nice guy he turned out to be.

Cane was wrong for doing what he did but it seems he was doing it to gain a family not money and we know he loves Lilly more than life itself! Her silly dilly butt doesn't quite understand what it means to FORGIVE and I doubt she will...she's her father's child (and I don't mean Malcolm).

Cane had loyalty to Philip, and he also finally had a family that is supposed to love him. Family forgives. Cane will be punished. He will end up with NOTHING, because the family he CHOSE for reasons only a very lonely and alone person can understand, is too selfrighteous to understand. And can only "love" in a sick and selfish way. No unconditional love for them. No, only if it serves their purpose. No forgiveness either.

The only person who should be outraged is Jill! But, we will soon see Jill (and Nina) get another huge slap in the face when they find out Phillip left cuz he wanted to get away from them FOREVER. That's harsh!!! At least he gave them Cane...someone who would actually love them regardless of their constant bickering and neediness but still...very harsh and cruel so put the full blame where it should be and that's PHILLIP!

First of all NEIL'S NUMBER ONE job and responsibility is to be LILY's father and of couse he is going to defend his daughter and be on her "side" because she feels BETRAYED. Everyone in Cane's family feels BETRAYED. And before you get all up in my face, I have defended the character of Cane quite often and like him. Lily is very young and she is hurt, she was hurt in her first marriage and here come the hurt & lies again. Lily & Cane will re-unite because it is the way of the soaps, but so is DRAMA and there has to be that before you get the love again. Lily has a "HUGE" s/l coming up with her health issues. She & Cane will need each other. He will be her ROCK, he is a FIGHTER. I still think that Cane purposely made sure that the blood sample was "still" frozen when he switched it, because WHY only this one sample? While the reveal of the samples in the freezer was happening, Cane was thinking out loud about it being time for PC3 to come home, quit running, and FACE the truth. And in true soap opera style CANE is the one to make just that happen NOT NINA. Cane is the one who is tired of the lies, lies, and more lies(he's not the only one to lie either ie. Sharon's lie about Faith's paternity, Phyllis lie about Daniel's paternity, Chloe's lie about Dee's paternity, Jack's lies about the diary, Adum's lies about EVERYTHING, and MJ's lies about Phyllis)and he just wants the truth to come out, so the FORGIVENESS can begin. The forgiveness will come but it will not happen slowly. Case in point, Sharon's eventual forgiveness by Nick, Cassie & Noah when she left her family & came back(I believe she was renegoiating her contract then). She slowly worked her way back to her family because of LOVE. The same thing will happen with Cane and his family including LILY, JILL, KATHERINE, MURPHY, BILLY, CHLOE, DEVON, and NEIL. Give it time and remember Cane is nicknamed(his rugby blokes call him HURRICANE because he is tough, and strong. Do you know anything about RUGBY? It is like our football(the ball is shaped different) but with NO PADS, so he is tough. ROCKY BALBOA tough, like against DRAGO tough. Cane will fight back and his allies will suprise you. Nina will be his staunchest supporter AFTER she talks to PC3 and gets the whole story, you watch. Nina is tenacious like a bulldog, pitbull, and CHOW all rolled into one.

ITA. The Winters family are self-righteous (especially Neil) the one who should keep his mouth shut. Neil cheated on Dru and Karen (he mistreated Karen terribly) yet he has the gall to throw Cane against a wall and tell him to stay away from his daughter. This is too ridiculous to even watch. I loved Neil but Neil has to be fair. It seems everybody's love is conditional. If a person doesn't live up to what they perceive them to be then they are in trouble. That is not love.

I also CANNOT stand Neil, never could, it's as bad as it has ever been right now. His character just erks me to no end. And I hate that they have done this to Cane's character. I hope they all forgive and accept him into the family anyway, he was/is the most loyal family member that they've ever had and has NEVER cared about the money or the name. I hope they don't drag that Cane hating all summer....could get painful to watch. ALMOST as painful as what the writers have done to Sharon's character. Unreal the foolishness with not your baby, is your baby, etc. The real Sharon character would have never done that to Nick or Jack.

You guys are cute and in denial. It doesn't matter that he just wanted a family. It doesn't matter that Phillip was the mastermind. The only thing that matters is that when he realized how much he had gained by his lie, he chose to continue living it. I don't care that he didn't want the money because he stole from them eitherway. He let a woman choose him over her real child(Billy), although I completely blame Jill for that part(favortism). I do believe Lily loves the man but how do you determine who that man is when he looked you in the eye and lied to you every single day? Not to mention(even though it baffles me)the Chloe thing. When he found out Billy was the father, he knew he had no blood ties to the child but kept up the charade. He should have told Lily before he married her or after when they were away on their honeymoon when it was just the two of them and no one to interfere with her decision making. When he found out Nina's son could die, he should have come clean and explained about Langley. His so called loyalty to Langley should not have outweighed a person's life. Nope! Nope! He needs to suffer some.
