Quote Lilamoor: Quote clicquot1: Quote Candace: I still think that Cane purposely made sure that the blood sample was "still" frozen when he switched it, because WHY only this one sample? While the reveal of the samples in the freezer was happening, Cane was thinking out loud about it being time for PC3 to come home, quit running, and FACE the truth. And in true soap opera style CANE is the one to make just that happen NOT NINA. Cane is the one who is tired of the lies, lies, and more lies A lot more is explained on Monday's episode - and Cane, it turns out, is quite angry with Phillip for showing up - so this theory that he caused the reveal on purpose isn't right. Just thought I'd let you know. Thanks Candace I kinda figured that out when I saw FRIDAY'S U.S. episode. It WON'T be the FIRST time I have been wrong and it certainly WON'T be the last time either. To me, so MUCH of the fun is the ride(and the speculation)and of course the aftermath of the reveal in most of the s/l's............................................... The explanation of the "SWAB" left a lot to be desired. I think Cane will be getting a bad rap. I think so too Lilamoor. MAB took a sorry way out because realistically it cannot be explained in my mind. This was a rewrite and an easy out, to help maintain in my opinion the integrity(saracasm) of Chloe, who's now the great mother and person. Therefore this piece of the s/l is insignificant and I chose to ignore it. |

Thanks Candace for the "heads up"! So Cane is ANGRY PC came to GC to own up to the truth? It will be interesting to see why when he reveals he came so his family does not blame CANE! |

Given the way this storyline is going to go, Cane is looking like the man Jill wants for a son instead of the one she thought she put in the ground! I can only hope that Phillip the 4th, shoots his father and puts him out of our misery! |

I feel sorry for Cane...I really think he is a good person, and that he didn't have a family growing up. He just wanted to be a part of a family and loving marriage, and Phillip's plan was just too hard to pass up. Neil and Lily can kick rocks if they think Cane is an evil guy...yep, he was deceptive with his identity but his heart was in the right place in wanting to give and receive love... |

Quote Demus: Quote EVSCNB: Quote Lilamoor: I find that even though Cane lied about who he isn't, I cannot stand the self righteousness of Neil, Lily, and Jill. I would rather have a Cane in my life, and I would certainly listen to his explanation. His behavior deserves that at the very least. Especially Neil. Who the HELL does he think he is. He betrayed Karen just as much and he continues to set himself up as some kind of standard of honesty. I really hate that kind of man. You know why I side with Neil, Lily and Jill? Because Cane had more than one chance to just tell the truth. Instead he more or less calls Nina a liar, especially when he knows her child's lie hangs in the balance, and continues the farce. If he told no one, he should have confided in Lily. Yes he does love them all but the fact that he preached to everyone who didn't walk the straight and narrow - Billy!! Amber!! and threatened to take Chloe's child - is outrageous!! No he deserves some punishment. They are no better either! The only person who should be outraged is Jill! But, we will soon see Jill (and Nina) get another huge slap in the face when they find out Phillip left cuz he wanted to get away from them FOREVER. That's harsh!!! At least he gave them Cane...someone who would actually love them regardless of their constant bickering and neediness but still...very harsh and cruel so put the full blame where it should be and that's PHILLIP! If Jill was my mother I would run far far away from that wicked witch. |

You guys are cute and in denial. It doesn't matter that he just wanted a family. It doesn't matter that Phillip was the mastermind. The only thing that matters is that when he realized how much he had gained by his lie, he chose to continue living it. I don't care that he didn't want the money because he stole from them eitherway. He let a woman choose him over her real child(Billy), although I completely blame Jill for that part(favortism). I do believe Lily loves the man but how do you determine who that man is when he looked you in the eye and lied to you every single day? Not to mention(even though it baffles me)the Chloe thing. When he found out Billy was the father, he knew he had no blood ties to the child but kept up the charade. He should have told Lily before he married her or after when they were away on their honeymoon when it was just the two of them and no one to interfere with her decision making. When he found out Nina's son could die, he should have come clean and explained about Langley. His so called loyalty to Langley should not have outweighed a person's life. Nope! Nope! He needs to suffer some. Thanks for calling me cute but in denial...NEVER! I never said Cane shouldn't pay for his crimes or suffer. Where did you get that from? I said I am on Cane's side meaning I hope this mess will clear up and work out in his favor. If Lilly loves Cane as much as she claims, she should at least listen to what he has to say and then decide if she wants to move forward or end it. Nobody is perfect and if you love someone you should be capable of forgiving them if need be (JMO). Cane was upset with Billy cuz he takes his family for granted and Chloe uses people to get what she wants. I'm glad they went thru what they did cuz it probably made them better people. So, don't think I'm denying Cane's role in all of this cuz I'm not. I'm on his side! Now, the real culprit is Phillip. And like I said, how can he be so cruel to let his own mother, wife and child believe that he was dead and not who he's supposed to be! There's also the fact that there were two babies OR was Katherine just drunk and saw double of everything??? We'll see! If there were two babies, Cane is not one of them. He failed the first DNA test when he used his blood. Why should Lily forgive him? He may love her but OMG!! He lied to her for YEARS!!!!!! Also, like the other poster said, he lied so smoothly. Creepy how well he did it. It is hard for love to conquer all when that love was built on and sustained by a lie. |

My initial reaction was "what a scum sucker" to pull this on everyone who has cared for him, and helped him. But, we don't yet know why Cane helped PC3. I'm going to reserve judgment until this plays out a little more. As far as Neil goes, he's just being protective of his little girl. That being said, Neil revealed himself to be a low down cheating, lying, two-timer. That was a real disappointment. |

Neil is a better man than cane. Cane should be in jail for the things he have done. |

I think that everyone who were involved in Cane's lies had a natural reaction to what he just told them. Anybody would be mad at this and before thinking it through would still act this way when told that they had been conned. On the other hand yes, almost everyone who Cane faced and admitted this to, has no right to cast stones. Especially Neil, after what he did to Karen. Katherine seemed to be the only one that kept her cool and talked rationally. I liked the way that she handled that. She especially made Cane feel very guilty when she spoke to him. I used to like Neil but after what he has done to Karen he just seems like most of the men on the soap now. And he should also let Lilly decide what she wants to do without his interferance. She doesn't need his approval. It's totally up to her. And I think that whatever she decides he should respect her decision. I think that this is also going to take some time with everyone involved so that they can hear what this is all about and then come to some sort of understanding of it. |

Quote Demus: I'm on Cane's side too! If silly Lilly loved him soooooo much, then she would listen to what he has to say and THEN decide whether or not she wants to stick around. To me, her love is shallow! When she was soooo much in love with Daniel and then left him without trying to work things out. As for Neil, as others have said its his daughter and he doesn't want to see her hurt. I totall get that but Neil is the last person to be in someone's face about betrayal! He cheated on Dru and Karen...real nice guy he turned out to be. Cane was wrong for doing what he did but it seems he was doing it to gain a family not money and we know he loves Lilly more than life itself! Her silly dilly butt doesn't quite understand what it means to FORGIVE and I doubt she will...she's her father's child (and I don't mean Malcolm). Great Post! It would take Dru to add some perspective to this situation for the narrow minded self righteous father/daughter pair! I do believe eventually after the shock wears off, Lily will forgive him, I just hope it isn't too long! |

I am even surprised at Devon. If anyone should understand about being a street kid, it should be Devon too. The difference is that Devon was fortunate enough to find a family who wanted him and they adopted him. Cane didn't have this luxury so Devon needs to come down off his high horse too. |

Lily would have still left him and everyone would have still been mad at him. The only difference would be is that they would have probably work their way to forgiving him. So really I don't see why this suffering should go on. He has suffered and is still suffering because he lost everything, and I mean everything. I am a forgiving person and I think he should be forgiven. He is remorseful, he regrets what he has done and he is ashamed of it. This is fully evident in the fact that he's allowing himself to be verbally and physically abused by everyone. He won't fight back and we all know that is not Cane. |

Both men lied and deceived people they claim to love for their own selfish reasons...PC ran away from his family and attempted to rid himself of his guilt by sending Cane to con them into believing he was the REAL hair and thereby give Cane what he wanted - a family. |
