I work in a doctor's office. We draw blood samples from people every day. There are several types of tubes to use for different types of tests. Some tubes have preservatives in them and some don't. Very rarely, we will have to re-draw a specimen due to various problems. One of those problems could be that the specimen was 'compromised'. Either there was not enough in the tube to begin with, or the specimen was held too long before it got to the actual lab. Now, I'm wondering how Cane knew which tube was going to be used by the phlebotomist and how long he held onto the one in his pocket. Sometimes the cells are damaged by the way the specimen has been handled. How far did that bogus specimen travel? How was it kept? Was it refrigerated? As near as I can tell, the one he used is a type that has no preservative. But, if it was compromised, why and how did the lab run the tests? Tune in tomorrow for the answer to these and other questions!!!! This is getting good. Keep on digging, Nina. Good to have you back. |

Thanks for the great post. It's good to know we have such talented, esucated and experienced people on here from all disciplines that provide professional information such as you did. Now if TIIC availed themselves to such researchers or professionals the soap would be untouchable in the ratings and sweep the Emmy's leaving evryone in the dust. We have to wait and see why the tech called Paul with a problem.....but it forces someone's hand..... |
