I was so happy when Devon told dummmm Tyra to get over herself about Neil's feelings for her. She actually thought Neil would let her move in with him....Stupid girl...when you spread your legs and lie and hurt everyone around you....you get what you deserve. She has no class...Neil would NEVER... EVER...want her permanately....one or two quickies maybe but that is all.Why would the writers get rid of Karen...who can actually act...and keep Tyra ? Don't get me wrong I'm totally pissed at Neil for sleeping with her to begin with...he's no better...but she is soooo clueless...I laughed my azzzz off when he told her to get going.

Neil finally told Tyra! The words pierced Tyra! I think she was being manipulative, she had an agenda from day one that she came to town. She genuinely believed she had Neil going...and she did, for a minute! But,he was in grief over his true love, Dru. Tyra was just a likeness. She had some Dru similarities and that's why he was attracted to her. Her ready made family will never be and I'm glad! He let her down softly, but at least he was honest and didn't go along with her game!

It was very surprising to me that Neil was honest with Tyra and told her that he wasn't ready to live with her when a lot of the other men on the soap would have not thought twice about it and would have said yes without thinking. Neil wanted to wait and make sure of his feelings. This was so different. Even if it did upset her. He told her how he really felt. And that alone make me think that there is something good left in Neil after all.

IMO Neil is a good guy, overall. After the marriage with Karen didn't work out, he realized how he hurt her, and why their marriage didn't last. He's still grieving Dru's death, and Karen and Tyra were both just women on the rebound. Tyra should be grateful for his honesty with her b/c some men would not think twice about a relationship w/her. They would be more than glad to "play" along with her games.

How many other residents set the same example over the years? And still are. Even grandchildren are seeing their grandparents "shack up". Whether a child is 12 or 16 having your parents or parent "shack up" - as you put it - without the benefit of marriage..... if difficult to explain.... it must be wrong.
