I find it odd how people can hold 20 year old deeds against a character that has grown and forgive Characters that are currently doing dastardly things because they are liked. I dont get it.

As for Nina, I remember her from her debut on Y&R. She was a pregnant 16 year old whose child was stolen from her by a Rose DeVille, a baby merchant.

She chose to get PC3 drunk, had sex with him, and got pregnant a second time with PC4. He died in a a car crash but will appear soon due to reasons he will explain upon his return. I forgot to mention that PC3 was in love with Cricket and not Nina!

Nina and her mother were both dating and in love with David Kimble who was after her money! Cannot remember whether he actually married her or not but he was cruel, abusinve, dishonest, and ruthless. He met his fate in a HUGE trash compactor.

Nina married Ryan McNeil who was also in love with Victoria Newman and had an affair w/ Trisha Dennison. Ryan was shot by crazy Trisha Dennison while at the altar w/ Victoria.

Nina shacked up with some moody writer who was more into himself than Nina. She finally left GC for good.

Now she is back to make trouble for Cane and Lily.

My point: NINA IS A WALKING POSTER WOMAN FOR BAD CHOICES! I will never understand why she said that to Lily. Every choice that Nina has ever made and every man that she chose was a bad one!!

Nina & katherine tried to buy Nina off(1 MILLION DOLLARS for the baby & she was gone)Nina said NO! They kept trying and she kept saying NO! Nina stayed in the attic and finally had the baby. She & PC3 married and he quit drinking. The young couple was getting along very well and he started a job w/CI but soon began gambling. With the gambling he started to drink again and after a party at CI he became drunk and hit a tree and we all thought died. Nina later inherited money from the estate that sat in trust for PC4 and she recieved money monthly. Because of her money she came under the radar of David Kimble who against the advice of Cricket & Danny married(I think in Hawaii). Anyway it took a while but she found out what kind of man he really was. She shot him five times. I think this is when he left town and became involved with Flo(Nina's mom & an ex-prostitute)they came back to town. David had plastic surgery so Nina wouldn't recognize him because he wanted revenge. He threatened the plastic surgeon and so the plastic surgeon carved K-I-L-L-E-R on his forehead. After running from I think Nina & Danny or Paul(can't remember who, maybe the police). David hid in a dumpster where he was killed when the garbage truck dumped it's load and ground him up. Nasty. A young, inexperienced Victoria married Ryan McNeil. They did not consummate their marriage. Nina met Ryan and they became friends and she started giving him expensive gifts. Ryan started an affair with a sexually experienced Nina and soon they were hot and heavy. Ryan & Victoria divorced. Ryan & Nina were married. Ryan became very close with PC4 and thought of him as his son. Nina went back to college. Ryan advanced in his sareer and soon met a young,sexy intern and they began an affair because TRICIA DENNISON pursued it. Ryan & Nina divorced and he & Tricia were getting hott and heavy. Tricia became obsessed with Ryan and was jealous whenever he visited his son, PC4. Ryan & Tricia moved in together. In the mean time Victoria & Ryan re-established their past relationship. Ryan broke up with Tricia(who was devastated). Ryan & Victoria remarried and Tricia SHOT him at the altar. It was terrible. Later Nina met an author(he was played by Anthony Quinn's son)who helped her get her book published. They stated dating and he wanted to marry her, she said no and they both left town and went their separate ways. Nina has ALWAYS been a great foil for Jill & Katherine and could hold her own. She has experienced great heartache in her romantic life loving but never fully being loved in return. So, instead the last several years she concentrated on her career(she is sucessful in Hollywood& L.A.) and raised her son. Without Nina as the catalyst this story would not be unfolding. Cane will come out of this s/l just fine. Although it sure doesn't look like it he & Lily will re-unite and be stronger. This story is still playing out and there is much more to come. Cane finally has the family he has ALWAYS wanted and he will not give up until everyone is once again re-united. You can bet on that. Nina will help Cane in his quest to reunite with his family especially after she hears what PC3 has to tell her. When Nina is on your side she is just like a bulldog and won't let go. Wait and see.

Who is living in denial! I see what Cane has done. And I will be the first to say it is wrong. He has hurt Lily and lied to her. He has hurt Jill and K and lied to them as well. And he has admitted his wrong doing. But I still love him and he has asked for forgiveness and I forgive him. I want Lily to go somewhere were she can think and remember despite his wrong doing that she still loves him and will forgive him as well. This is not denial this is realism because even though he did something I disagree with doesn't change one bit the fact that I love this character and he deserves forgiveness just like any other character that has done way worse and are now upstanding citizens. i.e. Michael Baldwin!
