Again Daniel doesn't THINK before ACTING!
Michael, his lawyer is entitled to all the information the Feds/DA gather in their case against Daniel. This includes ALL the calls made to Balfour's cell phone including the last call he received just before being murdered. So why does Daniel think to steal the phone and come up with this hair brained scheme and ask Kevin to pull it off? Stupid!
Maybe he was dropped on his head when he was a baby.
Kevin trips a circuit breaker and when the lights go out in the courtroom he steals the phone.

Better yet..he hides it in a CHOCOLATE CAKE! Good one Kevin...you are a real Betty Crooker! LOL

Question for the two knuckleheads. How are you going to prove who the last caller was without producing the phone? And what will be your explanation for having it? Better yet...who is going to bite into this cake by mistake? Talk about "JUST DESSERTS" LOL But that would be a good name for Crimson Lights
