Yeah, I have to admit, I don't mind stretching the storylines and all, but standing around the living room looking like idiots while Katherine is OBVIOUSLY having another stroke and Mac (when did she go to med school?) plays doctor - only when Mac says her blood pressure is up do they think about getting her help. Bring characters back from the dead as much as you want, but for God's sake, give the characters some intelligence! |

Another clear case of doing what one should not due. This was a clear need of a 911 call. Strokes to be stopped have be be handled in a most urgent manner. |

I was watching this last night and just kept shaking my head. First off most people know that chest pain and slurred speech is a clear sign of a stroke. Then as if that wasn't enough her whole left side was numb. Then that's when Mac decides to take her sweet time and check her BP. I was thinking maybe they already called the ambulance and is just killing time. Not the case, just plain ol dumb. I thought Mac was away helping build houses not Doctors without Boarders. |

Doctor's without Boarders!! Hee Hee, that's funny. What isn't funny is I had a TIA about a year and a half ago and I'm old enough to be Katherine's granddaughter! Hers was more dramatic than mine and I had weakness in my left side for months. It took a lot of walking and a lot of sqeezing that rubber ball to get it back to normal. You can't one minute not move your arm and an hour later move it like you're doing jumping jacks! Although as silly as it was played out on the Y & R it brought back not so good memories. |

Yea, what was up with that? Doesn't everybody carry a stethoscope and blood pressure cuff around with them??? LOL

Yes it was a painfully stupid reaction of everyone in the room and made Katherine suffer unnecessarily too long before wisking her off to the hospital. Mac probably assisted many medics and doctors in Darfur admistering to the starving and dying people there and why she is handy with a blood pressure kit. I have one in my home...but would never think of using it on an elderly person having a stroke..the phone would have been a wiser choice of instruments. |
