The Young and the Restless - MESSAGE BOARDS

I may be one of the few people to admit this on the boards but I actually like Mac for Billy. I did feel in the beginning that the character was a bit too dour and possibly a bit boring for my tastes but Clementine Ford is growing in the role. She has made Mac a character with a heart of gold and someone to root for. The scenes in the chapel when she told Billy she loved him made me cry and I havent been moved enough to cry for this show in a while. Let's have some more positive feedback for this couple guys, WHADDAYA THINK?

I like Mac and Billy, too. They are a much better match and fit than Chloe & billy. I like the fact that Mac & Billy talk to each other. The bickering and nagging from Chloe really got on my last nerve. I think that they are going to be a good, solid couple if the writers don't overdo the storyline. There has been slow, steady growth between the two of them and I can see Billy calming down under Mac's influence. I just could not take that dancing scene on the patio of the Crimson Lights. UGH!!!

I came back to add the fact that I can actually feel the love that Billy professes to have for Mac. I loved the scenes in chapel between them today, too. Glad that Mac confessed her love for him, too. Telling Mac that he was letting her go was one of the few selfless acts I have seen Billy do. If you love something or someone, let them go and if they return, it will be because they feel the same way, too. I have high hopes for Mac & Billy!

I just love the innocence of the storyline. I feel that Billy truly shows his soul only with Mac and with Chloe there are too many defenses he puts up. I just wish some people would get over Mac's appearance and look at the person she is inside, so many of the other female characters at the moment look and act the same and no matter whether you love the character or not she is different from everyone else on the show. Billy Miller just needs to show more depth in his scenes with her to make it more convincing.

I think these two ooze chemistry. I love NuMac. I think she fits the part to perfection. I do not know why everyone has such a problem with her looks. She looks normal , and IMO , very pretty. She looks tired , yes , but after what she has been through , she fits the part. The rest of the women , although very attractive , are the ones who look not normal. The clothes and makeup they wear every day look like they are going to a formal affair most of the time , instead of hanging around the house , club , etc. I mean , who dresses like that just to hang around the house? Mac looks and dresses like the rest of us. It is refreshing not to see an overdressed female on the show. I think she is perfect , and I really like her. The scene between Mac and Billy brought me to tears , also. They are so good together. It just goes to prove what great actors the both of them are , NuMac will win everyone over in time. She is a great actress. Today proved it.

Let me in on this too.....I like mac & billy too! I like mac...she reminds me of her real life mother, cybil sheperd though.

Clementine is acting in character as Mackenzie, remember Mackenzie is supposed to be a world weary character who worked in war torn Darfur. She is not supposed to be a firecracker character, remember this is also similar as to how the old Mackenzie was played by Ashley Bashioum

I agree that the new Mac is growing on me a bit. They are definitely trying to spice her up a little. Did you notice her dress today? She was showing a lot of cleavage. I thought the hair extentions when she first returned looked a little ridiculous. I like Billy and Mac together, though.

PG135,you said she would win people over in time,and she did just that with me today.I never liked her before,but today I loved her. She and Billy were so good,and believable in the scene today. I actually cried.That was great acting on both of their parts.

Mackenzie and Billy are great together!!! Their scenes today in the Chapel were what Soaps are all about: drama, tears, lots of tears, and love, true, heart-felt L O V E!!!

Today I warmed up to Mac with Billy. She looked beautiful sitting by the pool,& there was a lot of chemistry between them in the chapel. It was a very sweet & tender moment.

to tell you the truth, until the chapel seen, i was rooting for chole, but after that, i could really see the love between the two characters...and then i just have to remind myself..chole only wanted billy to begin with because of who he was...so i guess, what goes around comes around....sucks to be chole when all her karma comes around!!!

I hope that Mac and Billy make a go of it. I think that Mac brings out all the goodness in Billy, and he brings out her fun side.

Clementine Ford reminds me of Cybil Shepard. I always thought of her as a dour individual, and I think Clementine has a lot of Cybil's features.

Billy has always told Chloe that he doesn't love her, but she simply won't hear him. Maybe if she sees that Mac and Billy are really a couple, Chloe will finally back off, and just accept Billy as Delia's father.

Count me in, I love them together.
