I am beginning to wonder if Maria Arena Bell and her crew are purposely sabotaging this show. I mean, the sloppy writing, disregard for the history of the character and those who have been watching this soap for years is atrocious. I must admit that I had started watching this show again for Lily and Cane. However, the quality and writing on this show is so bad that I think I am going to have to let this go. I also heard somewhere that MAB did not like the Lily and Cane pairing because she did not create it and it shows. She is destroying this couple and their characters. What is up with this chick?

MAB imo is either arrogant or stupid. Arrogant she is tearing down all of the storylines and couples created by LML because she thinks her writing is better and so far she hasn't proven that to me. Stupid she thinks everyone will continually watch the show unhappy or not because they love Y&R and the ratings won't fall and she can write what she wants whether the viewers like it or not. What she may not realize is people are really getting fed up and leaving. The trend is going toward reading the updates and the boards for information instead of actually watching the show.

Yeah, I am one of thoes. Sometimes I just can't set there and watch such silly crap. I do read more updates and posts than I watch the show here lately.

I hear you and get what you are saying. I have posted many times and in many ways that MAB is ruining characters and her partner in crime, Hogan S. is responsible just as he was on ATWT and DOOL until they both relieved him of his duties. Having said that....this is the character Cane has become (like it or not) and what we have to accept as the s/l. We cannot reinvent the wheel only they can..the writers. It has taken many many years for characters to redeem themselves of terrible deeds and mistakes (Phyllis is still trying and it is taking Summer being in a coma to let us see all the support she is getting after being arrested for a hedious crime she didn't commit)...Cane is not going to be redeemed in a few episodes after what he has done to so many people as I explained in my last post here. THe only hope I have is that darn belt buckle that was mentioned once or twice before and zoomed in on in MOnday's US episode. It may be a link to the past (a family symbol or something) and show him USING HIS OWN BLOOD OR SALVIA to be directly related to someone in GC. Maybe John Abbott..orVictor's brother Matt Miller! Anything is possible as we have seen.

Are you kidding, this writing crew is not creative or clever enough to use that angle. I still can not believe how they are going to explain the connection between Cane and Billy. That Cane knew about Billy and Chloe all along. LOL That is laugable and ludicrous. This crew have created so many holes in this s/l that they are not skilled enough to fill, however, I don't think that they care either.
