The Young and the Restless - MESSAGE BOARDS

I am pretty new to Y&R(just a few months) and I have a couple questions I hope some of you can answer for me. First, I love Sharon and Nick together and I am so glad this baby is theirs so why would she tell Jack it is his? Is it b/c she saw Red and Nick hugging about their daughter and she got jealous or something? And is Summer really Nick's for sure?? Or do they assume it is?

Welcome aboard! I've been watching Y&R since Day One!

Sharon felt Nick should be with Phyllis and Summer after seeing her in a coma. Sharon and Nick lost a daughter in 2005, so Sharon remembers what it was like for her.

Jack wanted Sharon to stay with him no matter who the baby daddy is, but she wanted to be with Nick. After seeing Summer in a coma she felt it was best to let them stay as a family and go back to Jack.

Jack's been longing for a baby for some time now. Sharon told Jack it was his baby because she knew if Nick found out the truth, he wouldn't be there for Phyllis and Summer.


Regarding Summer's biological father: Nick is the only person who knows for sure. When the results came in he opened the envelope and read the results. He immediately left town for several days, he needed time to think. No one knew where he was. He returned and told Phyllis he was Summer's father.

Thank you so much for clearing that up. I never knew it was a possibility that Summer was Jack's. I always just assumed she was Nick's. (Obviously I haven't been watching that long!)
