Well I don't know who play the nu-Adam even though I see a couple of shows with him and miss like 4 shows this week.
But Mary Jane Benson is someone that Victor hire to work at Jabot. And I think that with Victor there is always an agenda. Well MJ helps Jack with his image.
Well then after Jack find out that she wasn't married [and that was Victor idea] they start sleeping again but he doesn't want a relationship with her but she in love with him.
Well she saw Jack and Phyllis going at it and then she kiss Summer [Phyllis daughter] with the one thing that Summer is allergic too peanuts. Not realizing that Sharon will go back to Jack.
