All that we have learned is that Cane said I'm in 2 years ago and that he is lying about being Phillip Chancellor. How does this make him a bad guy or evil? Cane is only evil to those who don't like him and that don't want him with Lily. We know nothing about why he has done any of the things he's done other than the fact that he said his childhood was awful. The whole story on Cane hasn't been told, we've only seen bits and pieces. I prefer to see what happens before saying anyone is this that or the other.

Please let's remember this is fiction. When Cane first came to town it was written that he was somewhat shady and so he made that mysterious phone call. The writers changed their minds(original writers, the creators of the Cane character) It is very obvious to anyone with eyes that they decided to go another route with Cane. Instead of him being the villian he was to be the Victim ie Chloe, Amber. Not once has Cane done anything outside of a 30sec phone call criminal devious or evil in two years. They have shown him again and again, being the dependable good son to Jill and grandson to K. Loving these two women with all his heart. Showing him to be a man that truly loved Lily. Now we have a new set of writers who are in need of a new s/l so they reach back to a storyline that had been clearly dropped by LML and changed this Character from who he has been all along. Let us not pretend that Cane was written to be a bad guy for these past two years, he was written to be the classic good guy. Now they have decided to change that and we will all see just how this all will end. No matter my spiscious of nor what I think a certain character should or should not be I can only go by what the writers tell me a character is or isn't. Until they play it out on my TV screen I only believe what I see. There are reasons why he has done what he has done, so we need to allow the writers to tell the story before we get caught up in our own agenda for this character. MAB said in an interview that she had been working on this rewrite of history with PC3 and Cane's secret for a year so clearly this phonecall storyline had been dropped and never was to include PC3. So if you were suspicious of Cane then you must have also thought that PC3 was alive all this time.

And then to make Amber and Chloe feel like crap because of what they did? He isnt any better than them! Now, I do think he really loves Lily but that doesnt make up for the lies that he told her and everybody else in GC.

Jill and Phillip Chancellor II became involved in the early summer of 1975 and PC 3 was born in March 1976 (the writers changed the date in recent years to Dec 1976).

Snapper's son by Sally McGuire Roulland was born in 1975, I'm guessing it was late March, the anniversary week of Y&R since it was the first child born on the show.
