Murphy is a cool cat and I like him on the show because he is by the far the most decent guy on the Y&R and maybe even soapland that is very mature and decent. From one guy to another he is a well respected guy and will be when you show that all us men out there are not dogs and that we can be MEN!!!

Murphy is everyone's Grandfather..the one who is wise, loving and caring with the ability to make you laugh and listen to what you have to say making you believe that what your think and feel is important because you are. Unlike some parents in GC.

Murphy is rich in love, kindness and the ability to sense when a person is telling the truth and is sincere. A rarity in GC

Murphy can fish and cook hamburgers!!!! The other men just eat at the GCAC......

Murphy Brings A Sense of Mystery......his ability to speak privately and comfortably with the governoe, his lack of friends (except for the diner folks), his solitude and explanation of his simple life add up to him being more than meets the eye (my opinion)...makings of a great s/l here...are you listening?

When I think of the Murphy character — I think of balance. Murphy offers a much needed grounding and sensibility that is missing from the show. There has been much talk about the senseless story lines on the show of late. The perfect example is that because of the balance that his character gives — none of this applies to Murphy. That's just one of the reasons I like him so much.

Love Murph, he's about the only man with any integrity on the show. I'm 71 and unattached, think he has a brother ??????

Murphy can MAMBO!

I love Murphy and I was also wondering where he's been but you can't blame for not wanting to get in the middle of Kay, Jill, and Nina. I'd take an extended fishing trip to avoid listening to three women bicker back and forth.

Murphy also brings honor and dignity to the show. He is everything that all the other characters are not and we need to see that kind of balance.

Long live Murphy!

I love how he interacts with Jill. Great character - refreshing.

Of all of the men on Y&R,Murphy is my favorite. He is stable,funny, romantic, understanding,a good dancer,a loyal friend,not afraid to stand for his convictions,and that to me makes one heck of a guy.

Murphy is a breath of fresh air and I just love him and Katherine together. Their wedding was beautiful! Murphy can fish, cook, mambo, and much more! His scenes with Jill are dead on, he is everyone's best friend, he is decent, kind, compassionate, loving and so much more! I think he is the only one in Genoa City who isn't bed hopping all over town!
I love me some Murphy! I also love the way he interacts with Katherine. There's is an amazing love story and it shows that people that come from different sides of the tracks can fall in love inspite of their upbringing and the way they led their lives before finding one another. Murphy rocks!

I love Murphy with Katherine. He is so real and so good for her. Please bring him back into her life. He needs to be an active character, not a recurring one. This show needs him, he is a breath of fresh air and brings much to the show.
