I am counting 3 (birth and 2 ER visits) and nothing indicating Nick is not the father. So i thinking that is wishful thinking. Two years ago, there was an indication that there would be a change in Summer's paternity from Nick to Jack! They went so far as to shoot the scenes. Summer contracted RSV at the time, and required hospitalization. LML got a bug up her butt and decided to can the scene! |

They probably shoot multiple scenes to have the ability to change the storyline which ever way the wind blows and depending on what side of the bed they wake up on...or whose bed they wake up in. |

Yes..her happiness is short lived...cause Nick is getting a chance to right the wrong he did when Cassie lay dying....and he isn't going to make that mistake again now with Summer. Fate played it's own hand.Now we have to wait a few months..years for all of this drama to play out and straighten out. Sigh |

Nick present reality is his "do over"...he can't change the past but he now has a choice to make that gives him his "do over" with his current wife and daughter....and while he makes the choice not to walk away Sharon makes sure he makes the right choice this time by lying to Nick about her baby's paternity. Problem is she doesn't have to lie about her baby's paternity...he will not walk away from Summer as he did Cassie and Sharon in Cassie's last days. He will not repeat that mistake again with Phyllis and Summer even when Phyllis tells him he doesn't have to be there. He could still be a father to Sharon's baby...and even remarry Sharon when/if Summer gets well. But Sharon makes a bigger mess for herself, her baby and everyone..sigh..by trying to be the selfless one and use Jack and deny her baby it's birthright in the process. Selfish or selfless..matter of opinion. Ironic yes! Nick gets his "do over" but not as neither he nor Sharon expected!!!  This is a mess, one that only these writers could come up with. Geeze, Sharon is supposed to be a robot apparently. She does this change of heart after she knows how upset Noah is going to be if she has another change, she knows she is doing something that will eventually break Jack's heart, not to mention, this will crush Nick...it is a girl and not his? Ugh!!! I AM SORRY WRITER'S, you can't convince me on this one that this is all of the choices Sharon would make. Now we have a clone of Sharon acting like someone we have not seen, ever. This is terrible and how long is it going to take before this fog is cleared?

You are not wrong. Even after Nick learned he(?) was the father of Summer, he still wanted to stay with Sharon and Noah and work on their marriage - which he told Phyllis as well. |

All of this with Sharon in the spoilers ahead, looks like Sharon is even more out of character once she overhears Phyllis and Nick talking. This is too far from who Sharon has always been. Any woman who wrote a letter to a man as Sharon had done at the cabin, would take any opportunity to be with that man if that possibility came. To say Sharon willingly walks away from Nick, while she is pregnant with his baby is absurd! I think crazy plots are one thing, but taking characters so far from who they have been portrayed to be is just poor, lazy writing!

Sharon's character has been rewritten into someone else....and may disappear..unless the creative genius who ruined her character gets his head wired on straight and is allowed by TIIC and TPTB to restore these characters to their former selves and the histories as they have been created by Wm Bell and brought to life by the characters we know and love since the beginning of this soap. |

~Betuboo42~ So far, we have only speculated that Summer could need a blood transfusion, and are wondering if a paternity issue could be raised. I hope something happens soon to get Summer out of this coma, IT IS TOO SAD to watch Summer in the hospital and with MJ popping in to see her! |
