If he wasn't Summer's father he could have remained with Sharon and there wouldn't be an issue...and no divorce. Period. If he lied he may have done so knowing Sharon wouldn't want to be married to him if he fathered another woman's child and the divorce would be her choice and not his. So which is it? |

I also remember when Nick was leaving the Shick home, he said to Sharon, are we really going to do this?... as he was crying. She was crying and said yes, it is the best thing with everything that has happened, we can't go back. Still you never knew what was behind the paternity answer for sure! |

I think the writers left this question open so they could take it however wherever they wanted to on this, at any point in time. We are in limbo!!! |

I agree with you here and his actions (Nick) at the time was weird, I will never forget when Jack & Sharon were set to go to Antigua Nick ask her was she going alone when he pick up Noahs things, then he followed her back at the Newman office staring out of one office blinds watching her & Jack leave toward the elevators, but he was hiding when he did it other than being a jealous ex-husband I always read sumthin into that could of be nothing thou I just always wonder what that scene was about. This is my frustration, a scene like the one that you describe is another one where we are left what the outcome was and what point was made in letting us, the viewers , see this? I have hope we will get answers, because take the Gloria and the dangerous, lethal creme she circulated. I thought that was in a dead zone forever and then it came out of nowhere, not at all a smooth bringing up of that again because she and Jefferey were lovers one day and the very next, he ratted on her and blew that out in the open and she was arrested. Ugh!!! This is why it is hard to watch and wait here sometimes with the Y & R!! |

I kind of thought that this would be the opportunity to reveal Jack as the father of Summer. I really hope that he is. So that Jack and Phyllis could get together again. Summer really likes Jack as seen in scenes with him and her. I hope that MJ pays for this awful crime of hurting a child. And that Jack never wants to see her again. And I hope that Summer comes out of the hospital ok. We don't need to see another child die on this show. |

To try to kill a child there is so much evil in M.J,! But I think she may know that Summer is Jack's and wants to take away that tie to Phyliss. She would have to know that this would bring Nick to Phyliss and leave Sharon available. Her insanity has no plausible good outcome for her. |

(I looked through 3 pages, and found nothing about this speculation.) Could we finally get at least one of the paternity questions we have solved?  Honestly, I think they are going to have Jack walk away with a kid in his arms. They wouldn't be showing him this desperate for a child if he wasn't going to end up with one. At this point we all know Sharons babydaddy is Nick so I do believe it will finally be revealed that Jack is indeed Summers daddy (duh). They're showing a lot more interactions with Jack, Phyllis and Summer these days. Phyllis also made that comment to Jack about him wanting Summer to be his so badly. Foreshadowing maybe? I think so. The spoilers did say Sharons pregnancy will rock both the Newmans and the Abbotts. I'm thinking (and buckloads of other people) that Nick is raising an Abbott and an Abbott is raising a Newman. |

Yep, that's how I remember it. I also remember Nick being ok with NOT being apart of the childs life. He wanted to stay with Sharon and their son but Sharon kicked his a$$ out. Nick wanted a child to fill Cassies void but still be married to Sharon. I clearly remember him say "I want to be YOUR husband". |

Yes, I believe Jack is Summer's father. I also believe Victor is the culprit that changed the paternity results. |

(or not if she knew it all along?) Yes, this would be perfect timing if the writers had a clue! Instead they want Sharon to have another paternity lie

I don't know if I can buy that Victor would contribute that way to the demise of Shick's marriage, given how much he loves Sharon as his daughter-in-law (still considers her family, and always will |
