I get so tired of these forty somethings trying to be under thirty want.ta.bees by having this long sexy "bedroom hair" that makes them look old and tired, shorter styles can look fresh and youthful, what do you think?

Most woman over the age of 40 do not carry off a "youthful appearance" with the long doo's-pretty much a DON'T...NOT A SLAM to anyone posting,it's just that aging tends to happen around the eye area and mouth,and any style loger than the chin draws the eye down...I think dru would look great in a real short crop-her features would really light up-Sharon needs a new look too-how about a long bob-type,or even shorter so her eyes can pop...they're so pretty...Look at Gloria-she looks fantastic!!!!(BIG GLO FAN)AND,YOU TOO NIKKI-BUT I WONDER-do the actors have a say as to whether they want to cut their locks???

I think sharon and nicky look great with long hair. Beside sharon is only 35 in real life i think phyllis needs a new hairdo, hers always looks greasy and looks like she doesn't wash and comb it when she wakes up in the morning.

phyliss looks a mess period. She never looks put together. I don't know what the writers are doing with her.

This is true, Goldie & Cher would take 20 years off their face with a shorter cut, it would bring their faces up.

Sorry, I have to disagree. I know all the fashion experts would agree with you, I just can't. I've seen too many attractive women go for the "soccer mom" haircut, and it instantly ages them. Most men say they prefer women with long, flowing hair, and if I were one, I'd have to agree. As for Phyllis, she was looking awful a couple years back, but the actress must've gotten an eye job or something because she looks much better now.

I agree...I like dru's hair in the bob...doesn't she wear a bob on occasion? and Sharon definitely needs some height..her little face is too round now to be wearing flat...

I so don't like the way nikki is wearing her hair these days..looks too matronly.I realize she is approaching that status-but that doesn't mean she has to give into it..

A soccer mom haircut? When my kids were playing soccer, I kept my hair long enough so that I could pull it back and not have to mess with it and it still looked decent.. You can't do that when its short.. at least I couldn't. If a hairsyle works for the person they should go with it.

If I recall correctly, if an actor wants to change their hairstyle, they have to get approval from the producers first and the producer dictates what they do the their hair from style to color change.
