BIOGRAPHY

Yani Gellman was born on September 2 1985 in Miami, Florida to his Canadian father and Australian mother. Yani's name comes from that of a family friend, writer Jan Joors. As his father was also a writer, the family moved often, living in Australia, Spain and Texas, as well as Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Yani began acting in a Canadian children's series called "Animorphs," in 1998. His bigger break was a role he landed in the movie, "Urban Legends: Final Cut" in the year 2000. Yani is well-known in the teenage set as the heartthrob, Paulo, from "The Lizzie McGuire Movie", which starred Hilary Duff. He was hired to play young attorney, Rafe on Y&R most recently.

Yani speaks Spanish and holds a University degree in Political Science!
