Don't Ask, Don't Tell!

Marc, Jean and Lady Buttons (her cat) arrive at the Suarez household for dinner. Hilda insists to Marc that she wouldn’t have missed this evening for the world. Betty and Marc struggle to make conversation during the dinner. Betty focuses the conversation on Jean and her cats. Jean then brings up Marc’s old roommate chuck Marc quickly insists that they weren’t that close. Hilda and Ignacio make numerous comments hinting to homosexuality and giggle at the situation. Things get a little too intense and Betty excuses them to her room. She informs Marc that he is a grown man and that he needs to tell her the truth. Marc insists that if tells her the truth now....it is going to ruin things between them. Betty assures him that it is the right thing to do and that it will make their relationship better. Justin arrives and complains to everyone that his father took him out for fast food and that he trying his best to watch points for swim suit season. He then shows off his “Free Claire Meade” t-shirt. He insists that he is not going to rest until that woman is free! Lady Buttons notices the door open and runs out. Ignacio runs after her and sets the alarm off from his ankle monitoring device. Jean sits in shock of all that is going on around her. The doorbell rings and Daniel enters the room. When Jean asks who he is, Justin tells her that Daniels is Betty’s ex-boyfriend!

Icing On the Cake

Grace and Daniel chit chat in bed before they start the day. Daniel panics when she informs him that she needs to speak with his mother. He tells her that Claire has gone away and that she probably won’t be able to find her. Daniel then rushes out and sends Claire off to a hotel to stay. He instructs her not to talk to anyone! Amanda tells Marc that she met designer Oswald Lorenzo the other night at a party. She tells him the story of how she fought another girl for his affections at the social. Amanda opens a packaged delivery and finds a dress that Lorenzo has sent to her. She is thrilled to find out that he has named the dress after her “The Amanda”. Amanda grabs the tiny silver dress and runs to change into it. She later emerges in the dress and it fits as tight as a mermaid outfit. Amanda struggles to move around the office but refuses to take it off. Alexis goes to see Wilhelmina and tells her that she has to at least give Daniel a chance since he was willing to turn his back on their father. Alexis gets upset and leaves when she sees the news coverage of Grace Chin defending her father. Constance visits Ignacio and continues to pour on the charm. She wrestles him down and steals a kiss.

Hilda and Justin walk in the front door and are shocked to find Ignacio hiding in the dark from his case worker. He tells them that he doesn’t know what to do about her. Justin tells them that Constance gave him $1 the other day to call her grandma! Ignacio insists that he has got to keep her happy until the court date. Daniel panics when Betty comes in and informs him that Grace is going to talk to Claire. Daniel locates them at a restaurant and tries to interrupt, but Grace insists that she be able to speak with Claire. Claire informs Grace that Faye was cruel and manipulative. Grace excuses herself to take a phone call. Daniel takes the time to ask her again to stay clear of Grace, but she insists that she knows what is best. Daniel steps out to the lobby of the restaurant and uses his charm on Grace. She tells him that he has six minutes and they rush inside the coat check room to make out. Marc cringes at what he seeing but manages to do his job. He pulls out his cell phone and starts recording.

Betty takes Claire and Gabe to her house to get the credit card. Betty tries to tell her once again that she doesn’t need to leave. Claire reminds Betty that she had Faye’s brake lines cut, that she followed her for 18 miles and then she watched her crash and burn. Gabe takes this as a sign that he needs to leave, but Betty tries to play it off as a game. Betty goes upstairs to get the card and leaves the two of them alone. Ignacio walks in and mistakes Gabe for Henry. Claire corrects him and tells him that she has seen the accountant and that he is much hotter than Gabe. He once again screams to Betty that he really should go, but she yells back for her father to put on some coffee for them all. Ignacio takes Claire’s coat and asks her how she likes her coffee. She tells him “vodka and ice...hold the coffee”! She takes a seat on the couch and Constance spies through the window. Betty calls Daniel and prays that he will answer.

Alexis shows Daniel and Grace the footage of their sexual escapade at the restaurant. She tells them that she wants Grace to remove herself from the case or she will show it to the judge. Grace becomes furious and tells Daniel that he needs a shrink and tells Alexis that she needs a closer shave! When she leaves, Daniel tells Alexis that he can’t believe what she has done. Alexis is shocked when he tells her that Claire is the one that killed Faye and that she has just put their mother in prison! A loud knock at the door suddenly comes as Ignacio is in the kitchen. Claire opens the door and finds Constance there accusing her of being the one that is stealing her man. The two of them get into a shoving match until Ignacio and Gabe come between them. Ignacio takes Constance to the kitchen and tells her that Claire is not his girlfriend....and neither is she! He turns to the sink and she slaps an electronic tacking device to his ankle. She tells him that she will now know where he is at every minute of every day! Betty rushes downstairs to see what is going on. Gabe tells her that it is obvious that she still has feelings for Henry and that he is leaving.

DERAILED

Betty goes downstairs to see Christina. They both freak out when Christina receives a call from Sarah Jessica Parker’s people claiming that she saw her work at Fashion Week. They go into panic mode when they find out that she wants Christina to design a dress for her.....by tomorrow! Christina tells Betty she can’t go to the concert because she has to get this dress done. Betty assures her that she can do it and heads to the cafeteria for lunch. While in line Betty meets a new friend ‘Charlie’ in the cafeteria. The two of them hit it off and even make plans to go to the concert together. Just then Henry comes up and says that "I see that you have already met!" Charlie and Henry hug and then he introduces her to Betty as his girlfriend!

Hilda cuts her father’s hair as Justin stresses over a blizzard approaching the city that could threaten him getting to see Hairspray tonight. Ignacio tells Hilda that he doesn’t know if this is a good idea (inviting Santos without telling him that they are going to a musical). Hilda says that he is the one that wants to spend to more time with his son.

Scandal, Sex Change and Murder....Oh My!

Betty watches the news coverage of the fashion show in disbelief that this is happening to someone that she knows. She explains the difference between a transsexual and a transvestite to her father. She rushes out the door to work and speeds past Walter...barely acknowledging him. Ignacio tells Walter that Betty is just really busy with work. As luck would have it, Betty arrives at Mode and shares the elevator with Alexis up to the office. Daniel goes to visit his father in jail. He tells Bradford that Claire spent the entire weekend with Alex. Bradford insists that he is innocent and that he needs Daniel to focus on running Mode.

Betty stops to ask Daniel if she needs to start packing up her things. Daniel insists that they are not going anywhere. He tells her that he visited their lawyer and that he is going to fight it all the way. Wilhelmina and Marc walk around and fire several associates on the way to her office. She is furious when Alexis tells her that Daniel got an injunction and that the take over is on hold. Ignacio stops by to see Betty and informs her that Walter is going to turn down a promotion in Maryland because he wants to be with her. He insists that she needs to stop stringing him along. At home Hilda gets upset when Justin arrives at the door....with his father of all people! He tells her that the school called him because Justin got in a fight. Justin defends his father and tells her that the school can call him if they need to. Justin takes his color-guard flag and rushes upstairs. He tells Hilda that their son is getting beaten up because he showed up at school twirling a flag. She says that it is her fault for allowing him to get this way. He tells Hilda that like it or not Justin reached out to him.

I'm Coming Out

Betty stresses out that Fashion Week is finally here. Hilda lounges around in a depression over her job crisis while Justin enthusiastically explains to his mother and grandfather what Fashion Week is. Daniel goes to see his father in his office. Bradford tells him that he has really proven himself the past few months. He informs Daniel that tomorrow after the show he plans on announcing his intentions for Daniel to take over the company one day. Marc brags to Amanda that he earns extra money each year by tipping off a mall based chain about the designs for Fashion Week. She thinks it is genius but Marc still won’t let her in on the action. Wilhelmina tells Fabio that she expects to be named as the new Editor In chief soon. Fabio shares her beauty secret using ducks but Wilhelmina insists that she won’t need that for years. As soon as Fabio leaves, Wilhelmina orders Marc to research the duck miracle!

Hilda shows up at Mode to make copies of her resume....claiming that she has taken the advice of Oprah and Dr. Phil. Daniel tells Betty to hook Hilda up with some temporary work during Fashion Week. Daniel tells Betty what his father is finally starting to see him as an adult. They get interrupted when Daniel gets a visit from an old friend. He informs Daniel that he is back in town for Fashion Week or as they call it.... “bootylimpics”! Daniel tells him that he has to focus now because his career is starting to take off. Christina is running on pure adrenaline trying to finish up her designs while Betty paces about Hilda working there with her. Christina tries to assure Betty that it will be okay because Hilda will be second to her there. She will not be in her shadow like when they were younger. Betty tells her that she is probably right and moves on. Ignacio and his social worker finalize the paperwork to keep him in the country. She breaks town in tears and tells him that her boyfriend dumped her....this close to Valentine’s Day. When he consoles her, Constance tells him that she wishes that more men were like him. Alexis calls Wilhelmina while she is at her beauty appointment and informs her that she is going to the show tomorrow, and that she is determined to find out what everyone really thought of Alex....especially his/her brother Daniel.
