Wilhelmina gets a call from her mysterious friend who's concerned about having Marc silenced. Wilhelmina states that he will be permanently silenced very soon. She adjusts the Christmas tree ornaments and walks out revealing Marc hiding behind the tree. He's terrified and takes a breath of his inhaler.

In the morning, a worried Marc brings Wilhelmina her whole wheat. She asks him for his home address; she's sending a special delivery his way. He panics and takes another hit off his inhaler.

Christina is drunk on Santa's lap and Marc runs by while Betty moves around the room and under desks while trying to hide from Henry. She bangs her head and her painful yelp brings her to Henry's attention. He helps her up with a string of condoms in her hand; he was only there for a screwdriver. Christina walks by them dragging Santa into the bathroom as an appalled Marc runs out. Wilhelmina and the 'hitman' spot him and call him into her office. They take Marc to the parking garage and, just when he thinks they're going to kill him, they flip on a light to reveal a hummer. He's relieved to see that they're just trying to buy his silence.

Amanda is trying to clear up after the party. Daniel tells her that Betty thinks she should be his new assistant, but can she do it? They promise to be professionals. Meanwhile, Ted the Texan walks in on Wilhelmina as she's about to leave and her heart starts to race.

Wilhelmina is going through the litany of destructions that befell her office to Marc. But she knows that it was him; she discovered the 15 grams of fat he left behind in the form of a cashew. Bradford calls to tell Wilhelmina that they've been chosen to reveal 'baby Chutney' (the newborn of celebrity couple Tim and Chloe) to the world for the first time.

Bruno the stylist arrives with Amanda. He tries to fob Betty off while she makes excuses for Daniel. He demands coffee and starts explaining his concept to Amanda. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina and Marc are driving around town worrying about the shoot. Marc sends Amanda a message that Wilhelmina knowing all about their secret romp; she gags on a croissant. Amanda sends him a text message back which obviously outs him as the culprit. He begins to wheeze while Wilhelmina demands to know why he was calling the hospital. The car gets a flat while Marc hyperventilates.

Wilhelmina and Marc grab a cab. Marc tries to make excuses for his behavior. She tells him that he stepped way over the line; she doesn't know that she can protect him anymore. The person he tried to call is not amused. The driver pulls over and throws them out after Wilhelmina begins insulting him for getting lost. She left her bag in the back of the cab and now they're stranded. They walk the streets and ask some prostitutes for cash. They start feeling up her fur and she tries to talk slang to them but this is an abysmal failure. Marc pretends to be her pimp and ushers her off before the girls can go for their knives. They end up in a church. Wilhelmina complains how she can't do her job anymore because she has to look after Daniel all the time. They rob the poor box for cab fare, but Wilhelmina leaves an earring in return.

Wilhelmina and Marc return to the office and she's outraged the shoot has been moved to Queens. She gets a call from her mysterious friend. Realizing an opportunity, Marc says that they don't have any secrets anymore; he wants job security and a company credit card in exchange for keeping her secret.

Wilhelmina is in a panic while she tries to prepare a turkey. She calls Martha Stewart for help. Martha starts mocking, saying that maybe she should start running a fashion magazine. As she instructs her, Wilhelmina stares into the turkey agog. When Nico arrives, Wilhelmina has just set out dinner. Nico tells her that she's going to a concert. She assumed that her mother would have plans; she always has plans. Wilhelmina suppresses her disappointment and walks into the other room to change. When she returns, she finds that Nico has set the table for her. She can't believe that she did all of this. They sit down together and begin to chat. Finally, Wilhelmina receives a call from Fey who wants to know what she was doing calling her from her office and hanging up. Her eyes are furious.

Bradford has to talk Wilhelmina into trying to land a new account from a Texan, Ted Lebeau. She says she'll charm the chaps right off him, even though Daniel should really be doing this. Wilhelmina and Christina are going through clothes while Marc gives her a rundown on Mr. Ted Lebeau. She reminds him to call Nico and check that she's at the boarding school. She decides that they should do the office over in country motifs. Wilhelmina lays a rug on the floor just as Ted walks in and admires the view. She is wearing one of his company's outfits. 'It's not like anything I own', she says after he compliments her on it. He sits down and tells her to convince him that their swanky magazine is the right fit for him. She tries to convince him that there is cross-over potential between their audiences. He takes her and Marc to a restaurant of his choice: A rowdy biker bar. Waitresses continue to slope onto Marc, inviting him to drink shooters off their bellies until he runs away and Ted takes over. They drink through the night, but Wilhelmina starts to get tired of the frat party. Nico calls, angry that her mother sent her perfume when she's allergic. Ted starts to tell her about his own problems with his teenage daughters. He tells her that someone who makes an effort to be a good parent is the sort of person he wants to do business with. He confesses that he decided to advertise with them when they were in the office; he just wanted to test her.
