Congratulations to Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williams for receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! She is the 2,331 star on the historic walk and it is certainly a thrilling accomplishment. Williams portrays Wilhelmina Slater on the critically acclaimed series Ugly Betty, currently in its first season. She was recently awarded Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at the NAACP Image Awards Ceremony. In 1984 she was awarded the Miss America Crown (although it was later revoked). Williams went on to appear in television shows such as Ally McBeal and The Love Boat. Her singing abilities have earned her numerous Grammy Nominations over the years. Her hit songs include Colors of the Wind and Save the Best for Last.

You don't EARN a star on Hollywood... you buy one. Anyone in show business who has the fee and promises to show up for the unveiling ceremony can get a star.
