As Emotional as a Snake.

At the hospital, Viki drags Ivy into a closet, as Valerie watches from another room while holding her baby. Viki tries to stuff Ivy in the closet, but has a bit of trouble. Valerie thinks Viki is clever and calls her a sweet-faced murderer, as Viki succeeds in stashing Ivy away. Viki starts to leave the area, but drops her purse. Valerie sees a gun fall out and wonders if Viki killed Alistair and all of Esme’s boyfriends.

Esme comes looking for Viki and calls out her name. Ivy falls out of the closet and Viki panics that Esme will find out what she’s done. Viki pushes Ivy back in the closet before Esme spots her. Esme tells Viki she needs to keep a close eye on her because a murderer is on the loose and they walk away. Valerie tells her baby that they could use some of young Viki’s talents.

Esme and Viki and then Valerie and her baby come to find the rest of the group and Sam wonders where Ivy is. Viki innocently says she hopes nothing bad has happened to her and Valerie thinks, “That child is as emotional as a snake.” They go in search of Ivy and Julian spots a trail of blood, which leads to the closet Viki put her in. Sam opens the door and Ivy falls out. Eve rushes to her and Esme says, “The killer struck again!” Sam asks if Ivy will be all right. Eve looks upset and Sam says, “No! She can’t be dead!”

Julian Finds Out About Vincent

Valerie is on top of Julian on the kitchen table kissing him and telling him what a stud he is, while Eve is bound with tape over her mouth in the pantry. Valerie is loud on purpose so Eve hears them and Eve tries to get free so she can stop Julian from having sex with his son. While going at it, Julian grabs Valerie's hair and her wig comes off. Julian sees that it's Vincent on top of him and both men scream out in horror. Vincent runs away and Eve worries what Vincent will do now that Julian knows the truth.

When Will I Wake Up From This Nightmare?

Julian stands at Eve's door and demands to be let in because he saw what she's hiding. Eve and Vincent hide under the table and Vincent says he'll kill Julian if he finds out he's alive. Eve convinces her son to hide in the pantry, but he takes a butcher knife with him. Eve opens the door and Julian says he came to see how she was doing, but now he knows her secret. He pushes his way in and says it's all over. As Vincent prepares to stab his father, Julian tells Eve he knows she's been drinking. Vincent relaxes and Eve starts to laugh hysterically. Julian tells her that rehab obviously hasn't done any good and Eve tries to deny that she was drinking. As they argue, Vincent makes a noise and Julian demands to know if someone is in the pantry. Julian tries to open the door, but it's locked so he shouts for whoever is in there to come out right now! As Eve tries to get Julian to leave, Julian forces open the door and Valerie walks out. She makes up an excuse as to why she was in the pantry and then tells Julian that Eve hasn't had any alcohol since she's been home. Julian wants to know why there's a bottle of booze out then. Valerie says Eve needs to learn to live around alcohol and Eve is doing a great job of resisting the bottle of scotch. Julian suggests Val pour it out and Valerie complies. Valerie says her baby is lucky to have a father like Julian and kisses him.

Valerie Takes Over

Out in the hallway, Valerie waits for Julian. When he comes upon her, they hug and then Valerie faints. Julian sits her down and wants to get her a doctor, but Valerie becomes angry and tells him not to. She says it was just a cramp and it has passed and that she already has a doctor. Julian can't believe she would want Eve to still treat her, but Valerie tells him it will all be fine and thinks to herself that no one else can treat her because they will realize that she is more than a little different. Julian insists she see another doctor and Valerie says she'll ask Eve for a referral. Valerie asks Julian to get her some tea goes into Eve's room.

Valerie tells Eve that she needs a prenatal doctor because she has been having abdominal pains. She says she needs Eve to be her doctor, but Eve points out that she is in rehab. Julian comes back with Valerie's tea and Valerie suggests that Eve should leave rehab because being locked up could be a detriment to her recovery. Julian doesn't know who would take care of her if she left rehab and Valerie says she will do it. Julian is amazed by her offer, but says that she would need to be with her all the time in case Eve has a relapse. Valerie says no problem; she will move in with Eve and be with her day and night.

Julian enters Eve's hospital room and sees Eve passed out. He goes to tend to her and wonders if she passed out from booze. Valerie comes up behind him, sees Vincent's orderly clothes under the bed and holds a syringe behind her back. Valerie tells Julian that's not why Eve is passed out. Julian asks why Valerie is there and she tells him she wants to talk to him about the baby. Julian says the baby will be well provided for and they can discuss details later. Eve starts to stir and says Vincent's name. Valerie starts to leave, but Julian stops her saying he can be there for both Eve and Valerie. Valerie is grateful that Julian hasn't turned his back on her and Julian takes responsibility for his part in getting her pregnant. Julian asks Valerie if she's spending Christmas with her family and Valerie tells him no, because her family is unhappy about her pregnancy. She hugs Julian and calls him daddy. Julian questions why she called him that, but Valerie covers explaining she was lamenting how ashamed her father is of her. Julian asks if she would like to spend the holidays with him and remarks how special and different she is.

Eve is jolted out of her sleep and says Valerie is different because she and Vincent are the same person! Eve picks up the orderly clothes from the floor and says they were Vincent's and that he can change into Valerie in a flash. Julian thinks it's impossible, but Eve pulls Valerie's pants down. Julian is shocked saying it looks like the parts he saw on Vincent and Eve tells him Valerie is his child.

Alas, it's all a dream and Eve just continues to say Vincent's name in her sleep. Julian feels sorry for Eve that she can't let go of Vincent and Valerie suggests they leave. Julian kisses Eve on the forehead before going to get the car to take Valerie home. Valerie leans over Eve and taunts her with the knowledge that Julian is taking her home to take care of her and the baby. Still in her stupor, Eve yells out Vincent's name.
