BIOGRAPHY

Born in Venice, California, Sabatino is the oldest of four children.Sabatino earned a pole-vaulting scholarship at the University of California at Irvine. While there he set a school record for the pole vault of 17 1/2. He place 13th in the 1976 Olympic Trials for pole vaulting. During his senior year, Sabatino auditioned for a part in a school play. Thus his acting career began.

Sabatino's first professional acting role was in "Sweet Bird of Youth," with Ed Harris, at Hollywood's Gene Dynarski Theater.

Michael has been a popular soaps villain ever since he played Chip Roberts/Tony Fenice on the prime-time soap Knots Landing, 1982 to 1983. He is most famous for his role as evil Lawrence Alamain on Days of our Lives from September, 1990 to October 1993.

He created the role of sleazy tabloid editor J.T. Cornell from May to July 2006 on Passions. Cornell was a pivotal role in the Passions "Vendetta" story. Sabatino reprises this role beginning October 5, 2006 for a yet unknown amount of time.

He married his former Days of Our Lives co-star Crystal Chappell in January, 1997. They have two sons.
