Tea shines at Matthew's trial, Dorian puts Cole's life at risk, and Todd worries about the safety of Starr and Hope...
As they wait for Matthew's trial to get underway, Matthew asks Destiny if she thinks he's doing the wrong thing by hurting his parents, but Destiny knows, in the end, when Greg is able to help him walk, Bo and Nora will thank Matthew. Matthew worries things are going to get ugly today… Greg and Rachel arrive, as Elijah and Tea rant about who has the most tricks up their sleeves. When court begins, Tea's first witness, Miss Hogan, arrives, in a wheelchair, and explains how she became paralyzed after a gymnastic accident. She then admits that Dr. Evans operated on her, stands up and says, "It was a big success. I owe it all to Dr. Evans." Rachel snaps at Greg, for knowing about this trick witness, as Nora orders Elijah to stop Tea's tactic, but the judge allows the witness to continue, who claims the doctor saved her life.
After Elijah makes it clear that Miss Hogan was of age when she gave Greg consent to operate on her, Tea calls Greg to the stand, establishes his high credentials then Elijah cross-examines - making it aware that Clint brought Greg to Llanview, it wasn't Matthew's parents' choice, and that there are risks that Matthew's condition could worsen, he could even die, after this surgery. As Greg claims Nora and Bo are just scared, Rachel stands up and screams, "Now that's the biggest bull I've heard in my life!"
With Dorian listening from outside the living room at the mansion, Starr informs Todd that Cole is working undercover for John. At first, Todd doesn't believe her but then says, "I'll be damned." Dorian scurries away, as Starr tries to convince Todd that she and Hope are safe - and begs him not to make her regret trusting him! Todd blames John for using Cole, and Starr and Hope inadvertently, but Starr says, "Everything's under control! John is making sure that Cole is safe - and me too." Todd plans to put a stop to the madness now! Again, Starr begs Todd to calm down - and to think about what he's doing! Todd asks Starr to stay safe and agrees to tell her his 'good news' later. Once Todd is gone, Starr leaves a message for Cole, saying she thinks she made a big mistake!
Over at campaign central, the mayor gives Justin a call, demanding that he's grounded, then gets a visit from Viki and Charlie, Viki's campaign manager! As Charlie and Viki invite him to attend Viki's press announcement, Dorian appears and bashes Charlie's involvement in Viki's campaign, wondering how a contractor can be qualified to be a campaign manager. "Certainly as much as an unemployed doctor," Viki says then leaves with her husband.
Once alone, Dorian blurts to the mayor that they can help Justin - because he brought drugs from an undercover drug agent - Cole! Dorian suggests it was entrapment, worries about her niece's safety, then claims, in the end, the charges will be dropped - and they'll be able to save Cole from the dealers. The mayor thanks her but insists on contacting John himself.
John puts Cole in a holding cell, assuring him his arrest was the only way to cover their operation - and keep him safe from Serge! John announces that Cole's part in the operation is over then says, "The rest is up to us." John knows this is far from over and thinks about Keaton, the dirty cop who's working for the mayor. "We bugged the mayor's office. We'll know if he knows about you," John says. "If Fish gets a hint that he's on to you, he'll be all over it." John locks the cell and says, "Sit tight. Nobody can get to you in here."
Upstairs, Fish is in John's office, listening through the bug planted in the mayor's office - when Keaton busts through the door and asks, "What the hell do you think you're doing, Fish?" Fish claims he was having computer issues, and Keaton offers to help - but wants to know more about the hardware on John's desk! Suddenly, Keaton gets a call from the mayor about Cole! The mayor demands that Keaton find out if Cole can connect him to the drug ring - and if he can, Lowell says, "Kill him!" Keaton says goodbye to Fish and makes a hasty retreat.
When John joins Fish in his office, Fish fills him in on Keaton's arrival then they listen to the saved tape of the mayor's conversation with Dorian - and realize that Dorian told the mayor about Cole! They continue to listen as Lowell calls Keaton and puts a hit on Cole!
Cris arrives at the diner, holding a bookstore bag, which he doesn't allow his mother to see. She asks about his roommates - and says how much she hopes nice Officer Fish finds a great girl! As Carlotta suggests that Cris find a girl too, Layla appears, and Carlotta gives them some time.
Across the room, Viki and Charlie arrive, and briefly chat with Carlotta, who backs Viki's campaign, then Dorian appears - and refuses a 'Viki for Mayor' button! Dorian also declines the mayor's attendance at Viki's press conference, but they do agree on a mayoral debate!
When the coast is clear, Cris shows Layla the book he bought to help Fish with his parents: "How To Tell Your Parents You're Gay." Layla is touched and says, "I'd kiss you if I hadn't sworn off men." Cris asks Layla to bring the book to Fish when she heads back to work." Just then, Carlotta returns and sees the book about being gay - the book that Cris wouldn't let her see earlier!
Just as the mayor wraps up a call to 'someone' in the drug ring, Todd arrives at the campaign office, and tells the mayor that his daughter may be in danger - and that he can't go to the cops about it! "Talk to me," the mayor urges. Todd brings up Cole being undercover then asks the mayor to have him taken off the undercover operation.
Down in the jail, Keaton approaches Cole's cell!
