John feels the pay off, Cris talks to Layla about Fish, and Stacy fears she's out of options...
As John and Fish listen to Keaton's conversation through the GSP device in John's office, John doesn't seem shocked to hear that the mayor is the man Keaton is talking to - the man behind the drug ring! Though Fish thinks they should bust the mayor now, John plans to prove the mayor wrong, who thinks that John doesn't think before he acts!
From the press conference location, Mayor Lowell talks about John, and the shipment he told Keaton about, then warns Keaton that he wants to know about every move John makes! Once alone, the mayor cancels the shipment, saying that there was going to be a raid, and assures his boss that they will always be one step ahead of the police department.
Keaton rejoins Fish and John in John's office, and John immediately tells him to suit up for the raid then they leave. Later, John, Fish and Keaton return to John's office, where John acts upset that the raid didn't take place. Before Keaton leaves, he assures John that he couldn't have known the dealers would cancel, and that the mayor will never know they screwed up - and Fish finally understands why John is handling the situation the way he is.
Later, the mayor calls John to rant at him for shutting down the docks, says that he has some very angry union workers on his hands then demands that John bring him results - or the mayor will find someone who can! John hangs up and says to himself, "Ask and you shall receive."
In the park, when Layla asks Cris if he knows more about Fish and Kyle than he's letting on, Cris admits that he saw Kyle and Fish kissing - and they were really 'into it'! "I'm sorry, Layla," Cris says, but Layla wonders if he ever planned to tell her! Cris explains that Fish said he wasn't gay, and that Kyle was the one who wanted the kiss, but admits, "It looked to me that Fish wanted it too." Cris didn't want to hurt Layla, and she doesn't blame him, as she's given him such a hard time already. Layla then calls Fish and asks that he meet her at home!
Stacy arrives at the loft, tells Kim that nothing happened with Schuyler then wants to give up. As they go over their options, Stacy reminds her she's running out of time then says, "There's only one thing left that I can do… tell Rex the truth." Stacy is tired of lying, and fears someone will find her out, then leaves to tell Rex and Gigi the truth - and Kim insists on going with her.
After taking a shower, Rex and Gigi decide to head back up to their room and enjoy some more alone time - until Gigi brings up Stacy being the only one who could interrupt them now. Rex still plans to be there for the baby then assures Gigi that she's the only one he's thinking about right now. Rex and Gigi prepare for a romantic dinner at home and talk about taking a trip, and leaving in the morning, but their plans are halted when Rex remembers he has a doctor's appointment with Stacy tomorrow.
Just then, Stacy and Kim arrive at the carriage house.
When Langston arrives at the Buchanan mansion looking for Markko, Rachel suggests she look at the hospital - since the last time she saw David and his crew they were dodging bullets! Rachel heads into the living room to exercise, as Matthew appears and secretly tells Langston that Markko is fine, and that David and his crew are hiding out in the stables, but makes her swear not to tell anyone about his whereabouts! Langston thanks him then leaves - just as Greg arrives.
Greg and Matthew briefly talk about his testimony, and when Greg comments that he's glad Rachel isn't around, because they butt heads, Matthew gets an idea then asks Greg to wait in the living room - while he takes care of something.
Out in the stables, though David's crew is ready to bail, David is still optimist - and wants to 'hug it out'! Everyone threatens to leave, but David gets a call from Matthew, saying for him to get up to the main house now - something big is about to go on! David immediately rushes out…
Ford stays behind and tries to beat the heat by pouring a bucket of water over himself and is startled to see Langston watching him - and appearing to get very hot herself! Ford asks for his shirt, puts it on, says Markko isn't there then chats with Langston about David and his screwy show. When Langston suggests a change in the show, to make it a love story, Ford likes her idea - but wonders who would fall for David. Langston elaborates on making David likeable and suggests they end the show with someone already liking David for who he is.
When Greg enters the living room, and sees Rachel playing a 'Dance Dance Revelation' type of game, Rachel becomes embarrassed that Greg walked in on her dancing like a fool - and becomes irritated when Greg offers to give her some pointers! Rachel challenges Greg to a game, and two dance their hearts out!
Rachel wonders if Greg is ready to give up, which he isn't, and the two fall to the floor and almost kiss - until David barges in with his cameras and says, "Rachel with her boyfriend's brother… Are you pulling a Nora?" Rachel snaps at David - and Matthew - as David claims Rachel and Greg are cheating on David's best friend Shaun! Markko makes a quick exit, as Rachel defends her relationship with Shaun, to the camera, then with the help of Greg she throws David out and warns that he better destroy every bit of the footage!
Markko returns to the stables, just as Ford suggests to Langston that they find the whole crew a love interest for their new show, a love that 'just happens to find' them, wondering if she is his - since she 'found' him alone earlier!
