Natalie and Rex look for Jared, John feels Natalie doesn't trust him and Cris and Layla long to be together...

At a motel, Rex shows a man a photo of Jared, and though he shows some cash, the man still claims he never saw Jared - but advises for Rex to stick around and ask the maid.

In her motel room, Natalie gets a call from John, wondering where Jared is. Natalie claims she doesn't know then hangs up on John, as Rex walks into the room. Rex explains that he came up empty, but Natalie wants to stay till the maid arrives. "What if he killed two people?" Rex asks, wondering if Natalie could really go on the run with someone like that. Natalie defends Jared and claims she'll follow him anywhere! Rex steps out to make a call.

Back in Llanview, Marty enters John's office and finds John frustrated that he couldn't get through to Natalie, who apparently doesn't trust him anymore. Marty realizes that John is worried that Natalie could be the killer's next victim! While Marty takes a call, John makes one of his own, wondering if his contact got a trace on Natalie's cell phone. Suddenly, Natalie appears and says, "You got me, McBain." John fantasizes that Natalie gives him the proof he needs… However, it's just Marty, bringing John out of his fantasy and handing him a beer. Later, alone, John calls his contact again and asks, "Do you have a location on Natalie yet?" When John gets word that Natalie's GPS was disabled, he says, "It was no accident."

Schuyler and Gigi arrive back to the carriage house, excited from the concert. Trying to stay off of the topic of Rex and Stacy, Gigi grabs her iPod, since her stereo speakers are broken, and plays some old tunes. Just then, Gigi gets a call from Rex, and though Rex can't give her the details of his case, he informs Gigi that he's out of town and doesn't know how long he'll be gone. "I miss you," Rex says, and Gigi replies, "Good," then hangs up on him! After Gigi rants to Schuyler a bit, he thanks her for the fun night then leaves…

Later, Rex arrives at the carriage house, claiming that he doesn't want to let Gigi down ever again then takes her in a kiss. However, when she realizes she was only fantasizing, Gigi continues listening to her music, and never hears her phone ringing - it's Rex calling again.

When Schuyler gets back to his apartment, he's about to settle in when Gigi arrives. Though she tries to apologize, saying she didn't want to be alone, Schuyler hushes her with a kiss - then shakes his head and clears the fantasy from his mind.

Back in the motel room, Natalie answers a knock at the door - and it's Jared! However, just as she allows herself to fantasize about Jared returning for her, Rex comes back into their room and brings her out of her fantasy! Later, after Rex has a fantasy of Gigi, arriving to kiss him goodnight, Natalie brings him a candle, for his birthday, and says, "Make a wish."

When Fish arrives at Kyle's, he invites him in, and Fish immediately tries to talk Kyle out of marrying Nick at the commitment ceremony. However, when Kyle wonders if Fish would be willing to give all of his love to him, in front of all of those people, like Nick is, Fish can't commit - and Kyle admits that he wants Fish to relax, to go out, but Fish screams, "I want you! Wait for me… Can you just give us a chance?" Kyle can't go back in time, even though Fish says, "I love you," which causes Fish to wish Kyle and Nick the best. Fish leaves in tears…

Still at their apartment, Layla again tells Cris that she can't be with him, as it would be taking over a life that Evangeline can't have. Though Cris admits he'll always love Evangeline, he reminds Layla that they were broken up - and they have to move on and let her go. Layla admits it felt right when Cris kissed her, and Cris agrees, saying he doesn't want to let 'this' go. "Is it possible all this worry about Evangeline is because you're scared to take a chance on me?" Cris asks, to which Layla denies it but refuses to throw her sister under the bus. As Layla walks away, Cris fantasizes that she finally gives in to them being together - but when Layla rejoins him, and brings Cris out of his fantasy, she says, "I'm moving out." Cris insists that if anyone is going to leave, he is then heads into his room to pack.

As Layla is imagining holding Cris close, and never letting him go, Cris appears and hands her money for his part of the rent… Cris leaves. Shortly after, Fish arrives home and comforts Layla with a hug.

Starr and Langston arrive at Cole and Markko's and announce that Dorian wants them all at 'the wedding'. Markko refuses to go, saying his father would have a fit, and Cole feels the same way, claiming that Dorian's only going through with this to win the election. "I'm with Markko," Cole says. "I'm not going either." Regardless, the girls decide to go without them then storm out - but the guys stop them!

Throughout Llanview, and the surrounding area, many are burdened with fantasies, the need to reconnect with a loved one and John McBain's final fantasy of Natalie claiming he missed something at the Lodge... "There was something!" John says.
