John tries to keep Shaun alive, a madman holds all the cards for Starr and Hope, and Blair informs Ross of their next plan...
John and Fish enter the mansion and find Shaun lying in a pool of blood. Though Shaun has a pulse, John screams for Fish to call 911. As they wait, a thumping comes from around the corner, and when Fish opens the closet door, Todd falls out - beaten and gagged! The EMTs arrive, and Todd fills John in on the kidnapping, to which John informs that the mayor was behind it all. Though Todd is sick that he went to Lowell, John assures him that they already knew about the mayor's involvement. Todd insists on waiting for the kidnappers to call while John and Fish head to the station.
In the warehouse, Starr reminds Serge about who her family is, but he informs that none of them can save her now! Just then, Cole calls, and as Hope cries, Serge doesn't answer and drills Starr about working with Cole to trap him! Starr begs Serge to let her comfort Hope, and he finally does then says, "Pretty, pretty girls, you are my ticket out of here. Do what I say, and you live."
Back at the station, Nora is released, as Matthew comes in and apologizes to his mom, hoping to do the same to Rachel. After Matthew leaves, Bo appears and fills Nora in on the attempt on Cole's life and the mayor! As Nora informs Lowell that it'll be her pleasure to prosecute him, Cole and Marty appear - and Cole wishes he could find Starr but still can't get a hold of her! Suddenly, Bo gets a call from John and has to inform everyone about Shaun, Todd and Starr and Hope's kidnapping! Bo and Nora press Lowell for their whereabouts, but as the mayor denies knowing, John and Fish appear - and play Lowell's conversation with Serge! Cole leaps at Lowell, but is pulled away, leaving Fish and John to corroborate that Lowell may not know where Starr and the baby are - by means of the timestamp on the recording.
As Cole, John and Bo try to figure out where Serge could be, Cole gets a call from Starr - but Serge grabs the phone from her and demands that Cole put John's boss on the phone. Though Bo tries to act in control, Serge reminds him that he has 'two somethings' that Bo wants - and Bo will do what he wants! While Fish tracks the call, hearing Hope crying in the background, as Starr is gagged, Serge demands one million dollars, and a plane, then tells Bo to get to work - or his pilot won't return 'the girls' after dropping him off! Serge hangs up, and everyone waits eagerly to see if Fish had enough time to track the call - and he did! After John informs Bo, "If they get on that plane with him, they're not coming back," everyone surrounds a map, and Cole demands that Bo and John take him with them, but he's refused - but John promises they'll bring Starr and Hope home. "How?" Cole asks.
At home, Tea puts the necklace with her engagement ring around her neck then looks at her divorce papers - happy that Ross is gone forever! Suddenly, Rachel appears, gives Tea a few choice words then claims she's looking for Shaun. Talk turns to Rachel's reaction to Greg's testimony then Tea claims she misses their friendship - and urges Rachel to open up, who admits she needed 'today' to wake her up - but worries her relationship with Shaun is now trashed because of it. Rachel admits that Shaun wants more, and that she can't give it to him, then goes to leave - but not before Tea offers to call Todd, to find out where Shaun is. With Todd now on the phone, Tea is forced to relay the news to Rachel about Shaun being shot - and Starr and Hope having been kidnapped!
Greg is approached by Dr. Wright, at the hospital, and over talk about Matthew's trial, Dr. Wright questions Greg about his true feelings for Rachel. Greg denies any involvement with Rachel then Dr. Wright starts warming up to Greg - who is suddenly distracted by a man being wheeled it - Shaun!
As a doctor preps Shaun, Greg calls out that he's his brother and watches in shock as Shaun lies there unconscious. Suddenly, Rachel appears and calls out, "Shaun!" Rachel watches as Greg breaks down in tears, grasping for his brother then she makes a call…
Outside the Buchanan mansion, over talk of how close Rachel and Shaun have become, Destiny starts talking about how good Shaun and Rachel are for each other, and how they started off as friends - but she's interrupted from telling Matthew how she really feels about him when Rachel calls Matthew to tell him about Shaun!
Tea arrives at the mansion and rushes to Todd, who is trying to fix the phone line. Tea tries to clean Todd up, as he rants about the mayor, Cole and his kids then is excited to get the phone working. Tea wonders if Blair knows, and Todd leaves a message for Blair to call him then breaks down, feeling helpless. Todd is touched that Tea is with him, causing Tea to place the engagement ring on her finger, promising to be with him now and forever!
While Ross and Blair are flying back to Llanview, Ross tries to get to know Blair, who doesn't want to know anything past the fact that he's married to Tea, and demands they go over the details of their plan. Blair warns Ross to stay out of sight in Llanview, and promises to make it worth his while, then falls asleep, as Ross takes in the smell of her hair. Shortly after, Blair wakes up, anticipates their arrival in Llanview then says, "Tea will never see it coming," never realizing the devastation awaiting her at home.
