Bo and Rex fear for their sons, Todd fights for his kids, and Nora lashes out at Marty...
Rex meets Bo in the hospital chapel, and over talk of their sons hears that Matthew may never walk again. After Bo fills Rex in, he talks about how he should be thankful - since there are kids in the hospital who may never walk out alive. As Bo apologizes for laying everything on Rex, Rex cries, "Shane, he's one of those kids… He has cancer. Bo, he could die." Bo puts his arm around Rex, offers to get tested to be a match then encourages Rex that Shane has a good shot at beating this! However, Rex's pain takes over, and he screams to God, "You want a sacrifice, take me!" Bo reminds Rex that their sons have a fight ahead of them - and they have to back them up! Before Bo leaves to check on Matthew, Rex says, "If I get through this, it's because of you," to which Bo replies, "Right back at you, Balsom."
Inside Cole's room, after Marty tells Nora that Cole's gone, Nora thinks she let him escape - and is furious when Marty says that Cole went to talk to Matthew! "My son may be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life because of that little son-of-a…" Though Marty convinces Nora to give Cole and Matthew a minute, Nora snaps at Marty for what Cole did - then blames her for everything, for being a self-centered monster of a mother! As Nora rehashes how Marty pushed Cole away, Marty agrees with her and says, "You're right, I'm a lousy mother and person! And I let you down, you were my best friend." Wondering if Marty wants her forgiveness, Nora says, "I can't forgive you, I won't forgive you." Marty begs Nora to punish her - not Cole - but Nora says, "None of this would've happened if you'd stayed dead." As Marty agrees again, Nora breaks down, says, "It's not true," then talks about how she so badly wanted justice for Marty - so much that she didn't see what was happening to Cole. "I should've seen it," Nora cries. Marty begs for Nora not to blame herself then begins blaming herself again - until the women fall into an embrace, both crying, "I am so sorry."
Cole enters Matthew room and begins apologizing, but Matthew refuses to let Cole take the blame. "I did this to you. I wish I could fix it," Cole says, to which Matthew replies, "Well, you can't." Matthew thinks Cole should be mad at him for standing by and allowing him to become an addict - instead of getting him help. "I didn't tell because I wanted you to like me. I let you down, I let everyone down, and now they have to take care of me for the rest of my life. That's on me, not you," Matthew goes on - until a nurse appears to make sure Matthew's comfortable, one who offers him a painkiller. After Matthew refuses, the nurse leaves, and Cole says, "I'm so sorry," and Matthew agrees, "I know, me too."
Outside Matthew's room, Cole takes out a pain pill, puts it to his lips then walks away.
Over in the waiting room, Tea arrives and asks John why he wanted to talk to her. Wanting to know if she really stabbed Janet, Tea sticks to her story - until John warns that someone is going to be next. "Is it worth risking your life just to save Todd?" John asks then pushes Tea for the truth, who finally admits that she didn't kill Janet - but neither did Todd! John wonders how Tea could allow Todd to use her then warns of what could happen to her career if the D.A. found out what she did. Though Tea claims she did it for her client, John says, "And you love him." In a roundabout way, Tea admits it but tells John that she will not be running to Todd's rescue anymore - it's over. Before she leaves, John asks if Janet's body had any special marks on it - or if the letters 'D' or 'A' mean anything to her. "D.A., as in Nora," Tea says. "That's it."
Cole enters his room with a cop, ready to go to jail. After Cole is cuffed, he's taken away…
Back in his room, Matthew looks at a sport's magazine then throws it. When Bo appears, he picks it up then takes his son's hand.
As Nora walks out into the hospital hallway, she briefly makes eye contact with John, who has just seen Cole hauled away, who is also wondering about what Tea said - about Nora, the D.A.!
Brody stops by the carriage house to make sure Shane is okay and is shocked when Gigi cries, "He has leukemia." Gigi explains how everything is happening so fast - and that they're starting the chemo soon, which worries her. As Gigi freaks out, Brody holds her close and promises that everyone will get Shane - and her - through this! Brody insists that Gigi head to the hospital while he stays behind and gets Shane's favorite stuff together. Gigi looks at a picture of Rex, her and Shane, says, "Deep down it'll always be Shane and me," then tells Brody how much he means to all of them.
When Viki brings Jack to the jail to see Todd, he snaps at his father when Todd tries joking around to make him feel better about Blair. "Did you hurt mom, so you could be with Cole's mother?" Jack demands the truth, leaving Todd to promises that he didn't stab his mother. Though Jack believes him, he demands that Todd get his act together - and come home to be their dad! After Jack stomps off, Todd tells Viki that Tea quit on him then Viki leaves to find Todd new representation.
Later, Todd's new lawyer arrives to say he's filed a motion to have the charges dropped. Before the man leaves, Todd says, "One more thing. I want my kids back."
Gigi arrives in the hospital chapel, goes to Rex and they both pray for their son.
