Brody goes off the deep end with tragic consequences, Cole grows suspicious of Clint, and Marcie and Michael long for the old times...
Still on Llantano Mountain, though Shane is safely in Gigi's arms, Brody's mind is in the past, in the war. With the gun aimed, Brody fires! After Bo gets Brody to drop the gun, he's pushed to the ground - that's when Gigi realizes that Rex has been shot! Bo rushes to Rex's side and applies pressure to the wound, as Gigi cries, "Please tell me he's alive!" Though Shane screams as Brody is taken away, Bo can't wait for an ambulance any longer - and picks Rex up to get him to the hospital himself!
Michael stops by the apartment to see how Marcie is doing and ends up going in for a bit. After Marcie tells Michael a bit about the Rex/Gigi/Brody saga, they talk about Charlie, and how he thinks he still has a shot with Viki, which leads them to think of their own lost relationship. As Michael replaces Marcie's bandage, she reaches out and touches his hand - and he leans in for a kiss! However, Michael gets paged to the hospital before their lips touch…
After Michael leaves, Marcie tries to put a crib together - alone. Once the crib is together, Marcie sings with sadness, as she prepares the room for the baby.
When Bo, Gigi and Shane arrive at the hospital with Rex, Michael appears and takes over, but Shane still screams that he wants to see his father in jail! Gigi finally snaps, "Will you shut up about Brody! Rex could be dying in there! I'm sorry, but right now all I care about is Rex!" Shane rants back, "You don't care at all about my dad, do you?"
Inside the operating room, Michael works on Rex then goes back out to tell Bo and Gigi, "I'm not going to lie to you. He's really bad." Michael talks about the tremendous amount of blood Rex has lost, how his spleen is damaged - and how they're worried about his brain. After Michael leaves to prep Rex for surgery, in order to get the bullet out, Gigi watches in fear as Rex is brought out of the examining room. Gigi goes to Rex's side, talks about the life they still have ahead of them and says, "We have a son to raise… you're going to be all right, do you hear me?" With her hand on his head, and Shane watching her, Gigi begs Rex to come back to her. After Rex is taken away, Gigi and Bo notice that Shane is now gone!
In her jail cell, Dorian screams to be released! Although Dorian hears of a visitor, and thinks it's her attorney, Addie appears. Dorian begs Addie to help her get out of jail - before Ray takes Langston to Colombia! Addie admits that she would've done the same thing as Dorian then promises to keep Langston in the fold - no matter what!
Later, Brody is brought into the jail, leaving Dorian amused that he's finally back in the depths of hell - where she found him! However, Brody is still in a daze and repeats, "I did what I had to do." When Dorian asks the guard what Brody was brought in for, she and Addie are shocked to hear that Brody shot Rex! Addie leaves to call about Rex's condition - and to let Adriana know what's happened, leaving Dorian feeling helpless that she can't be there for her daughters. When Brody finds Dorian staring at him, he thinks she's the boy who he killed - who's now pointing a gun at him through the cells!
At the Buchanan mansion, as Clint praises Ray for a job well done, Cole comes out of the shadows, to which Clint gasps, "Cole." Cole accuses Clint of stooping really low to get back at Dorian! After Clint excuses Ray, he tries to make Cole understand that he's trying to do everything he can to get back his father's legacy then compares Cole trying to get Starr to keep their child as him doing the same thing! However, when Cole threatens to tell Dorian what Clint is up to, Clint says, "Son, I don't think you want to do that!" Clint claims that he is not involved in any dealings that would hurt Langston then tries to make Cole feel guilty for all that he and Nora have done for him. "I value loyalty," Clint says. "And reward loyalty." Cole leaves… When Ray rejoins Clint, Clint assures him that he 'handled the kid' and that Ray has custody of Langston and will take her back to Colombia. "And there's nothing anyone can do about it!" Clint finishes.
Over at the mansion, Langston cries to Starr and Markko, saying they have to find a way for her to stay in Llanview. Again, Langston blames herself for digging into her family tree, but Starr and Markko think there's another explanation for Ray's sudden appearance. Markko makes plans to stay at the mansion for the night, so they all can try to come up with a plan.
While taking pictures, to remember each other by, the doorbell rings. It's Cole, who informs them that Clint brought Ray to Llanview - to take Langston away from Dorian!
