Save My Son!

Monday, December 03 2007
Marty begs John to save Cole first, and Dorian overhears Jared & Charlie talking...

With Lee shooting at the van, John watches as a blown tire causing it to go over a cliff! As Lee and John race to the edge of the cliff, John screams, “Marty, Cole, can you hear me?” After John scales down the loose grave wall of the cliff, Lee reminds him, “By the book, John.” However, John replies, “Screw you, Ramsey,” then rushes to the van and kicks a window in with hopes of getting to Marty and Cole! While John works on the van, Lee rushes off looking for Simon!

Finally, under the rumble, John manages to find Marty who barely says, “John…” Although John tries to get Marty out of the van, she starts screaming for Cole and begs John to help her son!

When Nigel informs Jared that someone is at the door to see him, Jared is shocked to see Charlie and pulls him outside! Jared wants to know what Charlie is doing there to which Charlie replies, “I’m your father. Do I need a reason?” Though Charlie tries to reconnect with his son, and asks for another chance, Jared lashes out at Charlie for being an awful father and says, “I don’t want you in my life anymore! Is that clear!”

Back inside, Bo and Clint wonder who Jared is conversing with and if Jared’s visitor knows something about Jared being Asa’s son. As Natalie rants, “Jared can’t be grandpa’s son,” Clint ignores a phone call from Dorian then tries to comfort Natalie. From the other end of the line, at her mansion, Dorian snaps, “How dare he ignore me!” After Clint closes his cell, he, Natalie and Bo drill Nigel about Jared! Suddenly, Matthew appears wanting to know what’s going on to which Bo explains that Jared is Asa’s long lost son.

Still outside, shaking, and in tears, Charlie begs for Jared to please just give him one more chance then questions him about the Buchanan’s and asks, “Who are they to you?” Once Jared explains he’s spent a long time setting up ‘a fantasy’ for himself, he finishes with, “The only father that I need is dead, Dad.” Little do they know, Dorian shows up at the mansion and hears their conversation! As Jared tries to throw Charlie out, who’s wondering what Jared plans to get from, “These Buchanan’s,” he continues to apologize for not being there for him, hopes whatever Jared is planning to get from ‘these people’ will make him happy then reluctantly leaves Jared with hopes he’ll one day forgive him. Once Charlie is gone, and Jared back inside the mansion, Dorian comes out of the shadows.

As Jared goes back inside the Buchanan mansion, Dorian returns home and writes down ‘Charlie Banks?’ on a piece of paper. Meanwhile, across town, Charlie finds himself at Rodie’s fighting the urge to drink!

After David pushes his way into Marcie’s room, Marcie tries to reason with him in hopes David won’t turn her in. However, David can’t forget about the million-dollar reward Todd is offering then questions Marcie, “Who should I call first… John McBain, Todd or Michael?” As David continues patronizing her, Marcie attacks David and screams, “I am begging you, David, please don’t do this! Don’t do this to my son! He needs me!” In tears, Marcie wraps her arms around David, pleading for him to do the right thing! When Tommy starts crying, Marcie picks him up and listens as David says, “I’m not heartless. I won’t call the police.” Just as Marcie thanks David profusely, he finishes with, “Just as long as you match the reward.” Though Marcie says she can’t afford it, knowing she has no choice, Marcie agrees to make some calls and to leave David with Tommy while she does so, at David’s persistence!

Alone with Tommy, David claims he’s demanding the money for Tommy's sake then tries to give him a talk about money and happiness!

At Rodie’s, as Starr asks a bartender to hang up some missing persons flyers, Michael sits at the bar and tells Starr how he had flyers made up for Marcie and Tommy – and how they didn’t work! Although Michael apologizes for what Starr’s family is going through, Starr expresses her upset that Michael kept Tommy’s paternity a secret! However, seeing Michael in pain, Starr joins him and listens how Michael begged Marcie to come home on Thanksgiving. When Michael sees Starr looking at a picture of Cole, he reassures her that John will find Cole and his mom. As their conversation goes on, Michael and Starr manage to have a civil conversation about everything mutual going on in their lives.

After Starr leaves, Michael’s cell rings and he sees that it’s Marcie!

Boy, Bratty Starr sure don't know how to talk respectfully to adults, must be all the money her parents have, she just thinks she can talk to anyone whatever way she wants to.!!
I like the new Michael. I still don't know why they want to kill Marty off, I liked her and John together, and how can anyone live happily when every woman he really cares about dies!! I don't like Jarad right now, I think it is gonna turn out that his dad has a lot of money in the end. David,,, He still cracks me up,even though he only thinks of himself.
Thats all from me for now. Have a nice day everyone.

I must have missed something, but why is Nigel going along with Jared's demand to be named the long lost son of Asa Buchanan? I would appreciate it if someone would tell me what's going on here. Why doesn't Nigel tell the truth, that it's David Vicker?

Hi PamKam,

Nigel is agreeing with Jared only because he knows how bad the Buchanan's hate David, especially Clint after finding him in bed with Dorian in Texas - he pulled a gun on him LOL.

Hope this helps a bit

Ok let me get this straight this man is reponsible for her father having to leave them to search for a son that should have been with him. Not only that her boyfriend is missing and you think she should give some leeway to Micheal. I don't think so and I haven't even seen the show.

Let me just say, if I didn’t like Jared before, I really really don’t like him now. Man he was brutal with Charlie.
I don’t know how a person could come off more apologetic than Charlie was with Jared. Granted we don’t know the back story, and serious boozers are no fun, but man oh man, here’s Jared, right smack in the middle of SCAMMING a family, breaking a ladies heart, taking advantage of a grieving widow, and he’s got the balls to tell his Dad to hit the road & that he’s a looser??? I tell ya, that was rough.
I was feeling for Charlie, knowing a bar wasn’t far away. Hope your proud Jared, your dad was on the road to recovery, and you just t-boned him into a telephone pole. Way to go tiger. I look forward to this characters (jared) demise, cause I know its come’n. He’s messin with the Buckanan’s, and now good karma treating his father like that when he’s asking for forgiveness. Mercy what a jerk.
Why is Nigel doing this? This kid is way worse of a scammer than David. David may be a con man, but he sure is a lovable one. I just know this Jared thing can’t last for long, with Dorian now in on the secret about Charlie being his pops.

What was up with Matthew’s haircut? From skater kid to prep boy.

As for the new Mikey Mac, I liked him, it was obvious he had studied the old mikey/aI, it will make the transition easier for me anyway. Thought he and Stars interaction was cute. Sure Star was fired up when she first saw him, but she has a lot on her plate right now, I cannot hold that against her. They were sure cute with each other at the end of their conversation before Star left Roadies.

FBI guy Agent Lee, “Simon, come to daddy!” Cripes, who’s writing for this poor guy. Mercy!

I didn’t see any bodies flying out of the van when it was flying down the hill, so, where the heck did Cole go? Whats going to happen, Johnny Mac goes to look for Cole and the van blows up? I thought it was going to be like teetering on a cliff and John would take cole out and then the van would fall off. But if it blows, that leaves bringing Marty back kind of bleak IMO. I mean It’s a soap so ya never know. Its just doesn’t seem good to me, if it blows up.

How great was the scene with David and Tommy on the bed. David was killing me, I was laughing pretty hard..

It probably will blow up, but as we all know in "SoapLand" when they don't find a body and actually put it in a casket, that person WILL RETURN at some point............

It's time for Marcie and Tommy to come home.David should not expect payment for doing nothing.

David is so funny. How can stupid Marcie think he is going to harm his meal ticket? She is an emotional time bomb waiting to go off.

I like this Michael also. I can be mad at him because it's the other one I dislike.

I believe that Marty will die or presumed dead. In reality her husband or his FBI buddies will put her in a witness protection program until further notice but I don't think she will die. I just hope writers don't bring back this character.

I don't care what Nigel believes. He is stupid. How can he think that Jared would be the better choice than David? Jared is a cold son of a b---h. I like Charlie, but why did Jared have to be his son? Dorian overheard the whole conversation. I hope she does the right thing but I think she is thinking of a way to get back at Clint.

Loved the scenes with David. I am glad they always write funny stuff for him to try a deadpan delivery. I was surprised he didn't mention the Moroccan prison to Marcie, because he can't forget the two years Todd sent him there. He would love money from Todd especially. The new Michael is fine so far, just odd there was no voiceover telling us about the new actor. He seems a little young to be a doctor. Too bad the other actor could not have finished out this storyline. And, what? Tomorrow Marcie is calling Michael? Kind of an abrupt change or she is panicking. They have to know Michael's being watched or his phone log watched. And really, Starr can just go in and sit at the bar and mouth off to her teacher's husband? Glad she shows some conscience and kind of apologizes. I was glad Charlie was turning out to be Jared's dad and not Nash's.
