"One Life in a Week!" (September 21 - September 25)
Greg really had a mental breakdown this week, and I pray that what we saw of Shaun, through Greg's visions, won't be our last for some time - and hope the show doesn't keep him in a coma indefinitely. Some are comparing this storyline with that of Evangeline, and while I don't mind that Vang is off-screen, as I wasn't a big fan of the character anyway, I'll be upset if they send Shaun down that road. At the risk of appearing non-sympathetic to Shaun, this week had me liking the interaction between Greg and Rachel even more. Is their attraction right, will it hurt Shaun in the end? Maybe and yes, but like they say you can't help who you're attracted to, and I will now admit, given that Greg has dropped his initial arrogant attitude, that these two have major chemistry together.
Again, the writers were trying to prime us for another round of Nora and Bo - do they still love each other or don't they… Before the verdict was handed down, Bo and Nora separately touched base on their regrets of losing the other, in a roundabout way during conversations with Rex and Rachel, and now that Matthew's been granted the right to have surgery, I think Nora and Bo are going to come together even more - and that's fine with me because as you know by now, I'm not feeling her marriage to Clint at all.
Ross is something else all right… hot, yes… a boy-toy for Blair, maybe… but to suggest that she forget about Todd and throw in with him, a total joke. Like Blair would even consider it for more than sex, which like I said, I wouldn't mind seeing just once, but really, what does the fugitive have to offer Blair - other than a way to royally tick her royal estranged prince off?
Jack Manning… Dorian was right - he is a chip off the Manning block! It's so nice to see the kid actors when they are able to let loose with their lines. Some may say he's being too cocky to his parents, but anyone who has kids knows, no matter how disciplined your children are society enables kids to push the limits with their parents!

It was so nice to watch Fish and Kyle have a calm and caring conversation about Fish coming out to his parents, and though I'm stumped as to why the writers would keep Kyle concentrating on Nick, after he had pined for Fish for months, I don't think we've seen the last of this Kyle/Fish love story - I hope not, anyway! Kyle still clearly has feelings for Fish, and the way he lit into Fish's father rocked and made the man at least realize that he loved his son - even if he didn't accept his sexuality. Thank goodness Fish has the support of Cris and Layla.
Speaking of father/son issues and back to this issue of Matthew and his parents… I can see why Bo, and Nora, are worried about the surgery, but I was glad that David had a little input into making Bo see the light where Matthew's feelings are concerned - and in turn, by having Markko's father witness their conversation, it made him realize that life is too short to throw away Markko. Perfect job of wrapping things up on the writers part - and I loved the emotional snowball effect in which it happened.
We all saw a man attack Jared, so either this guy was or was working for the stalker, or Jared paid him to beat him up - or, could it be this man is someone who did jail-time with Jared, one who Jared made promises to and never delivered on… I would have never thought the latter - not until John started suspecting Jared's story as not adding up. I loved the tension filled scene with Natalie demanding that John leave Jared alone, as it's been a long time since we've seen John and Natalie, my favorite ex-couple, together. This week, a ton of rumors have been circulating suggesting that John Brotherton (Jared) has been let go from the show, and since Soaps.com doesn't report rumors, and ABC has only given us their customary, "We do not comment on rumors," I can only hope that they aren't true. However, I can promise to keep you posted should I hear something from the actor.
Thanks for stopping by again this week! Please feel free to vote in my poll about John's suspicions and share your thoughts on the show's storylines below. If you want more soap scoops, follow Soaps.com's Editor-In-Chief on Twitter @soapoperafan and add me on Facebook!
I'll see you back here next Friday for another week's worth of Amy's "One Life In A Week!"
