"One Life in a Week!" (September 14 - September 18)
Not only did Greg already feel guilty over kissing and having feelings for his brother's girlfriend, now he's blaming himself for Shaun's coma. It is possible that I'm feeling sorry for the man? I think I am… Wow, this has been the quickest I have ever had a change of heart for a character I didn't like. Not only did we get to see Greg grieve the results of Shaun's surgery, he admitted to what we've all known - that he's always held quite a bit of arrogance - but in the end, he proved to be human and someone who truly loves his family… A man who has carried a lot of obvious guilt throughout the years.
Finally, Matthew was able to return his gratitude to Destiny, and at the same time he made a move to leave his wheelchair behind in order to comfort a girl who has always been there for him. Look for the verdict in Matthew's case to come next week, which will open up another set of issues surrounding the Buchanans and Evans.
The reunion between Cole, Starr, Hope, Blair, Todd and Marty… I wasn't impressed one bit. The writers did an excellent job with the hostage situation, but when it came to a conclusion, they flopped. These ending wrap-up scenes should have complimented the preliminary tension-filled scenes, where everyone feared for Starr and Hope's lives, but they just didn't do anything for me - not enough relieved emotion.
Dorian received Starr and Cole's forgiveness, which was no big surprise, then took it as 'the okay' to set out on her next tirade - announcing she'd be running for mayor alongside Viki. I guess if we have to endure these two going at it again, at least it'll be in a public backdrop, as I'm enjoying Charlie's little defensive outbursts when trying to defend Viki's honor. Note to Charlie: You haven't been around long enough to know just what you've gotten yourself into!
I enjoyed the scenes where Bo was honoring the men who saved Starr and Hope but enjoyed David and Bo's interaction even more. Bo is clearly irritated with David, and I'm still having a hard time relating to them as father and son, but I can't help but laugh at the lines David slaps Bo with - and neither can Bo, at times. I'd like to see a new woman in David's life though, one more his age, as I miss the old days when we would get to see his sexier side - my all-time favorite was when he and Kelly Cramer hooked up and did nothing but have spontaneous sex all over Llanview. It was fun, refreshing, and I think it would give David some extra pizzazz.

Speaking of stalkers… Not only did the stalker send Natalie and Jared another disturbing DVD, Jared was attacked. So, any clues as to who this guy is? Was the guy who attacked Jared the stalker - or just someone working for him? I am totally intrigued with this storyline and hope I'm not disappointed when the stalker's identity is revealed. I'd love to hear your theories on this one!
Poor Jessica, it's a good thing Brody pulled through because I second what Natalie told Clint - I don't think she could go through watching another man she loved die again. She'd end up springing two more personalities and would lock half the town in a secret room! Though I couldn't imagine it happening in the real world, I think Bo's decision to appoint Brody straight to the department, rather than make him finish the academy, was a good move. I don't think there's much more he could learn after being a Navy Seal and dealing with the recent hostage situation. I can see where Jessica would be scared about Brody's new career, but she knows better than anyone that life is full of unexpected tragedies, so it was nice seeing her put Brody's feelings first and supporting him becoming a cop. However, I didn't think the comment about Nash falling through a skylight - and Jessica stating, "What're the chances of something like that happening again?" - was necessary at all. In fact, it took away from the great emotions that the scene initially possessed.
Fish's parents arrived this week, and though Fish is clearly still really worried about their reaction to his sexuality, I'm happy to see that Fish has finally accepted that he's gay - and finally told his parents the truth, when Mr. Fish [laughing at the reference] laid into poor Cris for his 'apparent' gay lifestyle. Cris just can't catch a break - that part of the scene was comical.
Blair scrambling to hide Ross from Todd… another funny scene, and it was nice to see the sexy pool instructor, Chad, back in the cabana. I don't care what Todd is trying to prove, or who he's trying to fool, by pushing this wedding with Tea, it's obvious his feelings run deeper for Blair. Too bad Blair's just as hard headed and is too hungry for revenge to see that if she just calmly confronted Todd and Tea with the truth about Tea's marriage to Ross, she could probably win Todd back - and keep her self-respect at the same time.
Oh, Stacy, she thinks she's so darn clever - passing off this little Fish as Rex's. Too bad Kim came to town because if she hadn't, Stacy would have been blown out of the water by now. I'm thinking that Schuyler is still not convinced that he didn't bed Stacy - and may even think she's carrying his baby. This could make for an interesting storyline twist.
