"One Life in a Week!" (September 7 - September 11)
It doesn't seem as though it's only been a four day soap week, given all of the excitement that has exploded in Llanview! Tuesday's episode was so jam-packed that I don't know where to begin, as was Wednesday's, Thursday's and so on… Shaun was viscously shot, for once Todd was the one being manhandled, Starr and Hope were kidnapped and the dirty mayor was finally arrested - every actor in these scenes outdid themselves in my eyes.
I was so happy that the show finally utilized the talents of Sean Ringgold (Shaun Evans), and for those who don't know it, Sean is a bodyguard in real life, and has protected many well-known stars, most recently Katie Holmes and Suri, so you can imagine his scenes didn't take much practice. Unfortunately, after two bullets, Shaun was halted, which led us to seeing, who I would like to call, the real Greg Evans. Again, as you all know, I was never a fan, thought he was the most arrogant SOB around, but after this week, seeing what his games with Rachel brought out, and his reaction to Shaun's lifeless body brought into the ER, the man has a heart, real feelings and I'm going to give him a chance. There, I said it! Shaun is going to have a long road ahead of him, but I have a feeling Greg is going to come through for his little bro - big-time. However, I wonder if he'll be able to bury his feelings for Rachel in the process… doubtful.
Starr was forced to face a mother's worst fear, again, at such a young age, and proved, no matter what the cost, that she'd do anything to keep her little one safe. I cringed when that thug was holding poor Hope, who was crying her little eyes out. As a mother myself, that would have done me in right there. Props to Kristen Alderson for another job well done! I must admit, at first, I expected for Cole to have freaked out a bit more, at the initial news of Starr and Hope's kidnapping, but was happily surprised to see the consistency by the writers, allowing that reckless side of Cole to go out the window, that 'act before you think' attitude, and have him become a rational father, a drug free one at that, and one who stops to take the advice of those around him.
The scene between Rachel and Tea was a bit much… one minute Tea was crucifying her in court then in the next Rachel was confiding in her about her disheveled love life. Granted, they used to be friends, and Rachel appeared grateful, in some strange way, that Tea's actions in court made her finally see the light, but really, what is it with Tea… Either she's one heck of a great lawyer, who wants to keep her business and personal relationships totally separate, no matter what she does to 'her friends' in the process, or she's borrowing one of Viki's personalities and feels as though her tear [yes, those never-ending tears] will make everything all right. Speaking of Tea…
Are any of you convinced that Tea is hiding more than her marriage to Ross - maybe a child as well? At first I thought, yeah, she and Ross had a child, but what if Tea led Ross to believe that her child was his - when all this time it's been Todd's? That would be a whopper, all right, but I have to believe that's the key to her secret - since the show, or shall I say Blair and Nora, have hinted to Tea 'not having any idea what it's like to be a mother' repeatedly over the past couple of weeks. Nice storyline twist, bad way to let the cat out of the bag… If this is indeed the case.

Ross had me in stitches during the plane ride back to Llanview, trying to get close to Blair, sneaking a whiff of her hair/perfume while she stole a catnap… I know nothing can come of these two, romantically, but like I said about Gigi and Schuyler, I wouldn't mind seeing them turn the heat up a bit - and indulge in a one-nighter. They're both hot, and together, I have no doubt they could deliver a steamy scene for the fans!
For those who missed my interview this week with Llanview's former Will Rappaport, you can still catch up with Jason-Shane Scott in the One Life to Live News Room. Also, stay tuned, as I'll be interviewing Shenell Edmonds (Destiny Evans) and Mark Lawson (Brody Lovett) soon!
