"One Life in a Week!" (February 16 - 20)
Well, we had adults fighting this week, literally, those same adults waking up in strange places together - by the way, Fish and Stacey were the only ones who took advantage of the 'I was drunk and passed out so it doesn't count' excuse - and indulged - and Wes was murdered, with a few Llanview residents who had plenty of reason for wanting him dead!
Was all of the hype for the Go Red Ball a big let down, or were the goings-on classic Llanview for this annual event? I personally think this year's 'after effects' of the ball topped the charts - while still carrying through with the main storylines and tension that have filled them from day one!
Like many of you who have voiced your aggravation on the boards in regards to Dorian, I've had enough of her scheming to last another decade. They're always the same - let's get back at the Buchanans no matter what! Can you say snooze fest? However, I have to say, that the 1968 storyline that we all complained about, remember, when Rex went back as Bo and slept with Emma who looked like Gigi? Well, if we all do the math, Asa's Will won't matter because David won't be his son at all! Without Dorian in the mix, I would love to see David be accepted into the fold - nevertheless, there's always a bad seed amongst even the best families, right?
Okay, so Wes is dead, yep, after watching all the previews we knew this was going to happen to keep the body count going for the latest Llanview serial killer. Though the show has thrown a few obvious suspects our way - Todd, Marty, Brody and Cole - the message boards have been buzzing with ideas of who the killer really could be… Is it Mitch, who's had more lives than the healthiest cat…Nope, it's not Mitch. Could it be Allison, who was taunting many with this huge secret at the ball a year ago…Maybe, although her publicist told me they knew nothing about a return to the show. Then there's Carlo - too obvious, Margaret, Spencer or Lee - please spare us another back from the dead revenge plot twist, although I don't think the show will, but here's my preference… What if the show made Troy MacIver the killer? He's in Statesville, after all, and even Lindsay managed to escape from there! Though I can't say if Troy ever knew Janet or Wes, he did know Marty, had a beef with Todd, Blair and John, so he'd be my choice. Did this person kill Janet for Marty, or was it for Wes or Todd? The previews show Blair being stabbed… Is she just in the wrong place at the wrong time or is the killer after John? Stay tuned, but if you want to know the scoop for this year's March Sweeps be sure to visit the One Life to Live Spoiler page - because I added a section just for them!

Natalie has taken some slack this week from viewers for her overprotective behavior regarding Jessica's girls. I can't say I blame Natalie, given Jessica's situation, but I'm really disappointed that the show is having her so involved in the mess, which ultimately robs us of watching her and Jared really spend some uninterrupted time falling in love and furthering their relationship. What is it with Natalie and men? There's always way too many outside forces ruining things for her. On another note, the fact that Jessica is preoccupied with Brody - and his troubles - will give Natalie the time to find out what really happened the night of Chloe's birth, but I think the writers will surprise us - and not have Natalie be so quick to reveal the truth! I'm seeing a bit of a maternal side shine through Natalie as of late, and I think her bond with Chloe could be another way for the writers to prolong the revelation that the baby is really Starr's child! I know, it's not something you want to hear…
My favorite moment of the week, well, one of them anyway, was seeing that Ray escaped from prison! Boy, good thing the jails in the real world aren't this unsecured, but I'm glad they are in soapland! Ray's a man on a mission, who I think is getting a bit impatient with Tea's lack of concentration with his case. So, what's a man to do - handle it himself! Get the icepack ready, Cris, because you're going to need it, and Vanessa… I'd hate to be in your shoes! As for Lola, at this point, it's hard to place any blame on her because she appears to have been brainwashed… or has she?
Before you head out for the weekend, be sure to vote in this week's poll, and, as always, thanks for stopping by to rant the week off with me!
