"One Life in a Week!" (November 17 - 21)
I don't know what it's doing in your area, but it's snowing like mad here - and I'm not happy about it - but nevertheless, the drama in Llanview doesn't stop, just like the snow! I'm glad you drifted on over to read my thoughts, so without further ado, I'm rubbing the cold from my hands and on with the show we go!
Cole and Marty reunite!
"You're looking at me like you don't even know me. You do know me, don't you?" Cole pleaded with Marty… Bravo, bravo, bravo! Finally, Cole and Marty came face to face, and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome! Cole took Marty's memory loss in stride, and the mother instinct in Marty allowed her to reach out to the son she doesn't remember. We all knew Marty would break down, further, sooner or later. Not only was the writing brilliant, but Susan Haskell's performance was breathtaking - and real. Though some loose ends are coming together, I'm still hoping we haven't seen the last of the drama between Marty and Todd - on so many different levels!
Todd faces many demons from his past…
"You should die for what you did to my mom - to me. You look half dead already. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't finish you off right now," Cole hissed at Todd… " "Maybe it would have been better if John had beaten you to death," Blair left Todd with the thought… Well, it's safe to say that Todd had quite the visitor's list during his hospital stay this week. I think Cole proved himself to be a man by the way he faced Todd's deception. Blair, was forced to face her past decisions, and although she remembered the love she once had for Todd, she was reminded of the man he really is - one she was never able to change. Then there's Marty... Making sure that Todd knew there was no chance she was going to be pregnant pretty much left the beaten man with no hope. Who knows, maybe there's still hope for Todd, and with Téa retuning in December be sure to check out the old video clip I posted of Todd (as Roger Howarth) and Téa in the One Life to Live News Room!
Marty's alive, so where does this leave Blair and John?
"Marty's alive. She's been living at Todd's," John explained to a shocked Blair… The writers would like us to believe that Blair doesn't have a shot, now that John's so-called lost love has returned, but I'd like to think otherwise. Again, I was never totally convinced that John and Marty had this great love, so I'm routing for Blair on this one! I'm happy to see that John wasn't charged for his crimes because in all fairness, cop or not, we may have reacted the very same way. I'll admit, I am upset that John resigned from the force and pray his character doesn't fall into the bottle.
Rex speaks on behalf of Brody!
"Shane's been hurt enough," Rex told Wes and Gigi… Although this storyline wasn't elaborated on much this week, kudos to Rex! He's on the right road to being a great dad and has learned his very first lesson as a parent - to put his child first and work with everything to make that happen!

"I'm Tess, and I'm Jessica, and I'm responsible for what she does. I asked you here so I can beg your forgiveness, but I don't know how you can forgive me for what I did to you if I can't forgive you for what you've done to me," Jessica admitted to Natalie and Jared… We all know that this Tess/Bess/Jess storyline is far from being over, so I'm not going to even go there yet. However, seeing Jessica back in control, for a minute, anyway, grieving for Nash all over again reminded me of something… I said it before, and I'll say it again… Bree Williamson would be my first choice for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series for next year's Daytime Emmy's! And now, with Tess knowing there's something up with the baby, I'm hoping they don't drag this baby switching storyline on for years! I still want to see Cole and Starr raising their baby, with guidance - sorry Marcie!
In light of the current state of Jessica and Natalie's relationship, I thought it would be fun to relive some of the very first Jessica/Natalie scenes from 2001. Sit back and watch how Natalie once used her charm, and hidden agenda, to help Jessica (previously played by Erin Torpey) out of a sticky situation! If there's a past video you'd like to see, please leave your comments below, and I'll see what I can dig up from the soap vault!
Although I'll admit it becomes a bit annoying, I can never hear Dorian say this enough, so my funniest quote of the week goes to Dr. Dorian Lord! "Is there something I can do for you, Miss Lord?" Dr. Joplin asked, to which Dorian promptly reminded her, "It is Dr. Lord, and you know it!"
As always, thanks again for stopping by! Agree, or disagree, either way, I want to encourage you all to leave your own thoughts about this week's storylines below! What fun would it be if we all agreed, right? Don't forget to take a moment to vote in my latest poll!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! I, myself, will be staying out of the elements, as I never professed to be a winter sports fanatic, but I'll see you all back here next Friday for more thoughts on One Life to Live!
