"One Life in a Week!" (August 10 - 14)
My favorite Llanview comedian returned this week, and Mr. Hollywood David Vickers Buchanan was as hysterical as ever - and I have to hand it to him, he has a great idea, or shall I say the writers do, with this new Llanview reality show! What better way to deliver the drama than through the drama that comes from making everything around you even more of a reality - in a non-reality type of world, no less? Dorian wasn't quite onboard, even though she smiled up to the camera when thinking she was live on television from La Boulaie - and Viki, what a hoot - could you imagine her agreeing to let her alters come out and play so David could get rich - now that's rich!
Rachel and Schuyler's friendship is refreshing. It's finally nice to see the opposite sex sharing such a close bond, like Matthew and Destiny but on a more adult level, and I'm really getting a kick out of watching Schuyler fight his feelings for Gigi, who, by the way, I applaud for standing up to Rex and not allowing him to bully her out of having a friendship with her new kissable BFF. Rachel, on the other hand, is starting to reveal her love/hate feelings for Greg, but I can almost guarantee that if she acts on these feelings she'll not only break Shaun's heart, as we've already established, but Greg will break Rachel's as well. To me, Greg's only out to conquer another notch in his belt, and in a sick way, this guy seems to get off on hurting his family. Not cool, Greg, not cool at all.
Llanview got another stripper this week - Stacy's Vegas friend Kim! What timing… If we thought Stacy's shenanigans alone weren't enough, I'm betting Kim is going to be Stacy's fairygod stork in the making. So, what do you get when you put one depressed stripper and a stripper friend of a stripper together? Nothing but trouble is my bet!
Way to go, Cole! This kid is smartening up quick - a chip off the old John McBain block - but I'm even more convinced this week that Starr and Hope are going to be drawn into this storyline, now that Serge has gotten a whiff of how important they are to Cole. Then you throw the shady mayor into the mix, and how he was bashing Cole, John and Marty all over Llanview, could it be that he is the big wig behind the drug trafficking? It's the obvious clue being sent to the viewers.
We saw a glimpse of another Viki/Dorian fiasco in the making at the hospital board meeting. Don't think Dorian gave Marty her vote out of the kindness of her heart because I'm sure she's up to something big - and you can bet it involves Viki and the mayor, just by the little clues left in the fallout of the meeting. Again, another predictable storyline? I hope not.

I found it sad that Fish felt the need to sleep with Layla after receiving that phone call from his parents. It is clear that he's extremely worried, and always has been, about what his parents would think if they knew he was gay. For one, Layla is only going to get hurt and for two, Fish should realize by now that his feelings for Kyle aren't going to go away. The show is doing a good job portraying how so many people have found themselves in this same situation - and how hard it is for them to deal with their hidden feelings and the fallout resulting from them.
I instantly was smitten with Bo and Nora's new lawyer Elijah - not because he's majorly easy on the eyes but for the way he had Tea squirming under his scrutiny! It's apparent that Tea has a huge secret, and if Elijah is privy to that inside information it's too bad Blair hadn't witnessed their exchange because I'd bet she would have put aside the idea to hire Rex in favor of seducing the goods out of this new hottie, which would have delivered a jab at Todd at the same time! I would give a small fortune to see what Tea had in that extra briefcase. I can only imagine that her secret will affect the lives of many, and if I had to guess right now, I'd say she was hiding a child at some Swiss boarding school… Whose child? Not Todd's, rather Ross Rayburn's, who Tea was stuck on the desert island with, at the hands of Todd, with no protection, I could go on and on. However, we'll have to wait to see how it all unfolds. On the other hand, since Tea said Blair was the best one to relay her secret to, in the KAD house, in order to 'make something right', if she's hiding a child, it could very well be Todd's. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, so please leave them below - and things are sure to heat up when Blair sets out to find the one man who can give her answers - Ross! Sadly, we won't be seeing the original actor who played Ross, since Shawn Christian currently plays sexy Dr. Daniel Jonas on Days of Our Lives, but those who also watch All My Children will see the new Ross is a familiar face - Michael Lowry ex-Jake Martin!
Thanks for stopping by again this week! I invite you to vote in my poll about Tea's secret and feel free to leave me your thoughts on the show storylines below.
