"One Life in a Week!" (June 29 – July 3)
Given the July 4th holiday tomorrow, since the network is airing a repeat of the March 18 episode today, I'm delivering my thoughts to you early this Friday morning, so on we go…
It was a short week in Llanview, but definitely packed with drama - and finally we were delivered an end to this crazy Stacy/Rex/Gigi situation! Leave it to Roxy to use a curling iron in an attempt to get the donor's blood back from creepy nurse hatchet. However, I was glad to see Roxy fight for Shane in this scene. Normally she's too busy trying to cover up her lies, and will do just about anything to do it, but she was willing to fight for the blood that could ultimately mean life and death for her grandson.
Just when I thought for sure that Spencer Truman was Rex's father, seeing Renee in Room 302 at the Boutet Clinic put a whole other bug in my head… We all know that Renee was not only romantically involved with Carlo Hesser but she remained his friend throughout the years, even through all of his wrongdoings. Would it be so farfetched that Carlo called upon Renee to help him out, or did Queen Buchanan just pop back on scene to let all of the viewers know she was having some cosmetic surgery done? We don't see her enough to even care. Hmmm… And how about this… If Roxy is Rex's mother I can see Carlo sleeping with her years ago but never Spencer Truman. I don't know fans, I think there's a hidden message in Renee's sudden appearance. On the other hand, since Lindsay will be returning to Llanview this summer, it would make sense that she would be released from prison after finding out she didn't kill Spencer after all, so we'll have to just stay tuned, as the show is not budging with any details.
What did I tell you… Not only have the writers made us realize that Schuyler and Gigi have some great chemistry - Schuyler thinks so too! While I can see how he's developed feelings for Gigi, I can't say I'm happy about it - only because he's a character who has so much to offer, relationship-wise, that I hope the writers don't ruin him by wasting his airtime pining over someone he can't have. I want to see Schuyler fall in love - and get a glimpse at this guy romancing a woman. Scott (Schuyler) has been one of the show's best casting choices, so I hope they'll find someone to share a future front-burner storyline with him.
John's back on the Llanview Police Force, did you have any doubt that he wouldn't ultimately fall back into his career in law? One thing most agree on, John's one heck of a cop, and I'm just happy he's returning to help Cole out - and blow the newest cop out of the water. I wonder who he'll have run Rodi's, Gigi or Brody? Don't hold your breath on Brody being a contender, as he's about to make a crucial change in his career as well, with the help and support of Jessica, of course! I, personally, can't wait to see Brody in a police uniform - next best thing to John McBain in his constant black detective attire.
I was so excited for this new doctor to arrive, but I have to admit, Dr. Greg Evans isn't doing anything for me - and watching Clint, arrogance and all, is driving me nuts! I'm seriously waiting for Clint to start sticking his tongue out at Bo while saying, "Nah, Nah, Na, Nah, Nah, I got Nora!" Kill me now… or just wake me up when Bo and Nora stop fighting their feelings and kick Clint to the curb.

I'm looking forward to Dorian's dinner party, and while I hope she can make things right for Langston and Markko, I'm counting on the dramatics it'll take to get her there - and all of the input her guests will have over dinner! Another big event that will bring some unexpected twists and turns will be Cole and Starr's wedding. Stay tuned!
Before you head out, please vote in this week's poll about Tea and Todd's relationship - and where Blair falls into it. Don't think twice about leaving me a comment with your likes and dislikes of Llanview's current goings-on – a good debate is always fun! Thanks for stopping by this week to read my rant, have a safe and happy July 4th weekend and don't forget to join me on Facebook to see what other scoops I've dug up!
See you back here next Friday for another week's worth of Amy's "One Life In A Week!"
