Hey Kyle, how's this for a spotter? (Soaps.com)
Welcome to Amy's
"One Life in a Week!" (June 22 – June 26)

Rex and Stacy, oh I don't even want to go there, but have no choice… I was so happy that Bo tried to remind Rex of what's important in life - a lot of good that did, since 'little Rex' won over. Though Rex is supposed to be this smart private investigator, we can't totally blame Rex in all of this - seeing as he's a man who's had his heart broken. He thinks the girl he loves cheated on him, and though it is a bit gullible for Rex to believe Stacy's act, I think there are a lot of guys out there who would as well. In any case, it's nice to see Rex still being a good father and trying to make Shane realize that he only has one mother, one who loves him dearly. I just cringe whenever I hear Shane talking like his Aunt Stacy - and have to fight the urge to get out the soap, jump through the screen and wash that little boy's mouth out!

I'm loving the friendship between Schuyler and Gigi, and if it wasn't apparent that Rex and Gigi belonged together, the writers would have a super hot couple in Gigi and Schuyler! Hey, you never know… after Rex reveals just how far he's gone with Stacy, which made me want to toss my cookies (but I didn't want to ruin my keyboard), Gigi may turn to the sexy suspended teacher for a little lesson in fun love. I loved it when Schuyler manhandled Kyle at the gym and when he urged Gigi to confess the truth to Natalie and Jared. By the way, where have Mr. and Mrs. Banks been, on a shotgun honeymoon to match their wedding?

Let's pause before going any further to give a shout out to John-Paul (Rex) and Mark (Brody) for that hot steam room scene! It was a scorcher that day, Wednesday, here in New York, and even though I had my air conditioner on, I found myself grabbing my spoiler sheet that ABC sent to me to fan away the heat!

The writers haven't taken my pleas seriously and are continuing to make Cris appear as this whiny, obvious man with a little boy crush on his roommate. Fish is onto something… yes, no matter what Cris says, he is into Layla - or he wouldn't be laying on the dating advice - or questions - so darn thick. On a positive note, I do like the little hints the writers are giving us into Fish and Kyle's past and/or sexuality… Kyle to Fish, "I hope I didn't embarrass you," Fish to Cris, "Nice pecks," and last week when Kyle said to Gigi, "I doubt there's anything you have that would interest me." I look forward to seeing this storyline develop! If we could only clue Cris in - and let him know he has nothing to worry about in regards to Fish - maybe the man would get a hobby and quit jonesing over Layla, or do something about it!

What to make of Dr. Greg Evans? (Soaps.com)
Llanview got a new doctor this week, Dr. Greg Evans, but I'm starting to think that Shaun is more than just a brother scorned - and there's more to this doctor than appears. It's a bit too soon to tell, so I'll hold off on making any strong opinions but I can already see that this tension between Greg and Rachel is going to lead to a summer romance - then Shaun will have another reason to hate Greg.

The scenes with Markko's father in the diner had me in stitches - he was like a catty old woman hiding behind a fruit stand at the local grocery store, listening to the town's gossip. Must be the Riveras don't subscribe to the newspaper (Do we still have one, aside from The Sun? Why isn't Viki ever at The Banner anymore?) or they would have read up on Dorian's profile many times over the years. I find it strange that the Riveras had no idea about any of her past deeds and feel for the kids who have to grow up in such a strict old-fashion home. There's nothing wrong with the beliefs of waiting until you're married to have sex, but Markko has graduated - and he's still being followed around and monitored like a child.

Jessica showed us this week that she is going to be just fine. Her scenes with Bree were sweet, and when she had to defend her actions to Stacy, who was being her witchy self while bringing up Jessica's crimes, it showed that Jessica was moving on and facing her demons. How about the little ballerinas, and Stacy's little pep talk! If their parents only knew who they had left their children with - the little future poll-dancers of America, geez! Psst, I'll admit, I did laugh a bit, as the scene was comical.

We all knew the second Todd gave Starr and Cole his consent that he was up to no good and props to Blair for blowing his plan out of the water! Why can't Todd just be human for once? Because he wouldn't be Todd, and I can promise there's going to be a lot more drama on the way in regards to Starr and Cole's upcoming wedding - and with Tea thrown into the mix of everyone surrounding the Manning/Cramers!

Before you head out, please vote in this week's poll about Starr and Cole's upcoming wedding plans and be sure to drop me a comment or two about your take on the happenings in Llanview this week – what fun would it be if we all had the same thoughts! Thanks for stopping by for another week’s worth of my ramblings, have a great weekend and don't forget to join me on Facebook for many other soapy scoops!

Great blog again Amy. Have a nice weekend!

Well the writers have ruined Gigi and Rex for me. I'm glad she's finally going to tell Rex the truth. But if they were as in love as they told each other this wouldn't have happened. First off Gigi would have trusted Rex enough to tell him the truth from the start. Second Rex wouldn't have taken the Gigi and Brody in bed together at face value. Things are not always as they appear. Case in point, when Gigi caught Stacy and Rex in their bed. Where is the love, when there's no trust? On the other hand, it didn't take long for Schuyler to convince Gigi to come clean to Natalie, Jared and Rex. I think it's time to give Schuyler and Gigi a go.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm not looking forward to the Kyle and Fish (Kish) gay storyline. Maybe if it were with someone other the Kyle I would be. In view of his involvement in the hated Stacy and baby storylines, he's not someone I can root for.

Thanks for the blog, keep em coming!

Firstly this week was so GREAT I LOVED IT!!
It's about time Gigi told Rex the truth. Then Todd giving Starr and Cole his consent to get married was a sham once he gave them his blessing! Tea way to get back at Todd and using his tricks to do what he did to you!

I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE SOLE WEDDING!!
Great Blog AMY!
and everyone have a great weekend!

Thanks for the ususal great Friday rant! I have ranted enuf about the Rex/Stanky scenes, as has a lot of other posters. tiic have done their job well in getting us all ranting about this storyline!
Now, as for Dr. Evans, eye candy, BUT I can see evil in him. I adore Shaun & Destiny & the fact that Destiny knew in her heart he didn't return at her request, but for the money endears her to me even more!
Ok. I am a relative "newbie" to OLTL. It was on in our break room at lunch daily, so I started watching & asking questions. What I don't know is how old is Rex/Nat/Jessica supposed to be? How old is Roxy & how can the disgusting likes of Spencer Truman be Rex's daddy? Wouldn't his daddy be older than Spencer? Spencer is definatly 1 character I wouldn't like to see back on the show.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Jessica/Nat are about 28 maybe 29, and Rexx one year maybe two years younger.

Rexx's daddy could be Mitch Lawrence who never seems to die...lol Of course, Nat was married to Mitch several years ago,,,gross?...yes,,,the marriage was never consumated....

Amy, I keep sounding like a broken record; but I KNOW for a fact that Cristian is attracted to Layla. Bickering aside, look back at those scenes where they were locked in the freezer at the Buenos Dias Cafe--and then in the steamroom at Serenity Springs. Not if, ands, or buts about it!!!

Now all Cris has to reveal his crush to Layla; and all will be good.

What I do not understand (for one) is why Destiny didn't realize that was her brother she bumped into as she ran out the country club after being fired because of those two no good preppy students. She was the one that called him in the first place.
