Farewell Michael and Marcie… (Soaps.com)
Welcome to Amy's
"One Life in a Week!" (June 15 – June 19)

While I was upset last week with the fast pace of the Cole/Starr/Hope reunion/handing her off to Marcie scene, the happenings in Starr's bedroom, where Marcie gave Hope back to Starr, was emotional, heartfelt, and one of Kathy Brier's best performances during her seven years with the show. I will miss Chris Stack, as I didn't feel I got to know him as Michael as much as I would have liked, but I want to take this opportunity to wish both of the actors the very best in their careers – and what better way for them to leave Llanview than to have Marcie finally be able to give Michael a child of their own!

Again, Jessica managed to break my heart during her visit to Nash's grave and again at Chloe's burial. For those of you who don't remember, or who weren't watching, to understand what Jessica meant by tracing the heart on Chloe's coffin, and asking her to give the heart to Nash, saying, "He'll know who it's from," I've included a video clip of Nash's death, where you can see for yourself exactly what it means. Warning: Grab a box of tissues before viewing!

The Mannings went back to court, and Todd went back to his old ways – getting what he wanted without thinking of the repercussions to Tea's career. However, in Todd's defense, and Tea's short-term memory, wasn't she worried that a judge would come in and have her disbarred when she had sex with Todd in the courtroom not too long ago? How soon we forget… Either Todd really cares for Tea or he has more to gain from having her live with him – because not many millionaires would just book a whole hotel to force someone they had no use for move in with them, or would they? I can't wait to see how Todd, Tea and Blair are going to manage living under one roof – and who will come out on top during all of the scheming!

It was nice to see Nora and Bo pulling for Cole, after what he took from Matthew – even if Cole never intended to paralyze his good friend. He's made some really bad choices, but the poor kid just can't catch a break, especially realizing that he'd have to go to prison right when he finally got the news he'd been hoping for since finding out that Starr was pregnant – that he would be able to not only keep his daughter but raise her with Starr. His marriage proposal to Starr was something that 'Sole' fans have been hoping for, and Starr's promise to wait for him until his prison release topped the scene. At this moment, these two have more relationship values than a lot of people in Llanview!

Dorian hits the truth serum! (Soaps.com)
The funniest scene for me this week had to be Dorian's drunken stupor at Markko's graduation party. From her facial expressions, to the details coming from her mouth, I laughed through the entire scene, as Markko's conservative parents were in total shock! Poor Dorian, I can't say I've ever seen her this way. Usually when a man does her wrong, she sets out to make Viki's life miserable – even if Viki had nothing to do with the situation. Whatever the case, Dorian's going to have to do some major damage control in order to make things right for Langston and Markko.

The tension is getting pretty thick on the Morasco/Balsom front. I can feel Gigi's excitement for the truth to come out, but at the same time, sadly, I can see Rex slipping deeper under Stacy's spell. Though I can't divulge what's yet to come, be prepared for Rex's ego, and his sense of loyalty, to be knocked down a couple pegs when he realizes what he's done – and what he's facing with the consequences…

It became official this week, One Life to Live is going to incorporate a gay storyline into Llanview, which hasn't been done for quite some time, and will give us a closer look into Oliver Fish! I, for one, am excited about this, as I think it'll bring our soap on an even playing field with the others who have added these great storylines into the mix! How many of you think that Cris doesn't want Layla to date Fish because he's jealous, or could it be that Cris suspects Fish's sexuality? Be sure to leave me your comments below!

Before you head out, please vote in this week's poll about the new upcoming Oliver storyline, and leave me your comments about the week below – I enjoy reading everyone’s thoughts! Thanks for stopping by for another week’s worth of my Llanview rants, have a great weekend and don't forget to join me on Facebook for many other soapy scoops!

See you back here next Friday for another week's worth of Amy's "One Life In A Week!"

Great rant as always Amy! You had to go and make me cry with that scene from Nash's death. But I had forgotten the significance of the drawing of the heart.

I'm going to miss Marcie and Michael. I wish we could see how her pregnancy pans out.

I don't think Cris has interacted with Fish enough to wonder about his sexuality. He'll be just plain jealous of Layla getting close to Fish. I'm going to try to keep an open mind about the upcoming storyline, but Kyle is not one of my favorite characters. So far the best description I can come up with for him is sleazeball.

Hi Starlett!

Thanks for stopping by. I'm sorry about the video, I know, I still cry when I watch it - but the 'heart' detail is just too sweet not to pass along for those who didn't know about it. Hey, at least I left a tissue warning LOL!

Thanks for all your thoughts and have a wonderful weekend!

I enjoyed reading your blog. I read the blogs, spoilers, and recaps everyday and don't usually comment. I have been watching the soaps for almost 40 years. LOL I was a young kid when I started watching them. However, I felt the need to comment today.
I am wondering if anyone remembers that when Fish first hit the scene he was showing an interest in Layla but hooked up with Stacey. He ended up sleeping with Stacey and couldn't stop saying how wonderful it was. If memory serves me right he showed up with flowers for her. He fell all over her and she shot him down saying all it was, was a one night stand. To basically get over himself.
I am thinking that they should have Fish as bi-sexual or have him questioning his sexuality. That would make a more interesting storyline to me. Having difficulty deciding who he wants to be with. Can you see Kyle and Layla fighting over him? It could also touch base about HIV and unprotected sex and the consequences that follow. That could open up a whole can of worms as far as Stacey/Rex/Gigi and a storyline about unprotected sex also.
I hope that Cole is given a chance to redeem himself by going under cover with John. I think that it will be exciting to see them working together and busting a major drug ring. I think that John is a great father figure for Cole and will be there for him always. I have always prefered John and Marty together over anyone else.
I am tired of the Gigi/Rex/Stacey storyline. I want to see Rex and Gigi get together and stay together. We need stable couples and familes on this show. I am going to miss the Marcey/Michael characters. I am very happy that they went out the way they did. I sure hope that the writers have John mention them every once in a while.
Also while I am at it I would love to see Bo and Nora get back together finally after all these years. They do some really funny one liners and compliment each other. I just don't feel the connection with Clint.
I would love to see Clint and Dorian each find someone totally new as love interests. Both getting someone that makes them like school children. I like Brody and Jessica together. They have chemistry.
I like the way Blair and Todd are together. I know they have been back and forth but I like how they ground each other. I also like how even when they bicker its fun.
I would like to see Tea and the new lawyer hook up. I see lots of electricity there.
Well thanks so much for listening and I look forward to next weeks read.

I think Chris is just plain jealous regarding Layla/Fish dating. He has a personal interest in her that may be linked to Evangeline coming out of her coma, therefore creating a love triangle between the three of them.

Is that Tea is sitting in the chair in front of Blair or is that Matthew. Also what is really funny is Jack and Sam is not in the clip unless that are on the side of Todd. I don't like how OLTL don't include them in a lot of the scenes when something important is going on. Ex. When Starr found out Hope was alive no one when got the kids to let them know. At least they could have told Jack

I apologize Jack and Sam are there Jack is in front of Blair sitting on the edge of the couch and Sam is next to him. The way Jack is sitting it looks like someone was in a wheelchair.

I hinted a slight bit of jealousy in Cristian's eyes when Layla said she wanted to date Fish. Pushing the subject of Evangeline aside, could it be that he might have romantic designs on her?
