"One Life in a Week!" (Oct. 6-10)
Out with the old, in with the new! What a week, what a week, what a week! It had its highs, and its lows, but I think we'll all agree it was a week to remember! Sit back while I give you my take on Llanview this Friday, and don't forget to give me yours as well! If you agree, cool, if not, I want to hear your thoughts!
Todd and Marty's first outing - and marriage proposal!
"Let's get married," Todd suggested to Marty… Who wouldn't want a guy to hand you an atlas and let you pick anywhere in the world to escape to? Sounds good to me, and a lot easier to do if you've lost your memory! I was on the edge of my seat, again, this week when Marty first viewed the photo of her rapists online but knew it would be too easy for the show to let her find out about Todd like that. Their timeline together is one to go in the history books: From friends, to rapist/victim, to being able to merely tolerate each other, to… husband and wife? Things are heating up in Manning Land, and I'm still intrigued!
John's torn between the living and the presumed dead!
"Because I was there! I think Marty may still be alive!" John screamed to Michael… Poor John, he just can't catch a break. Though the show is trying to convince us that John and Marty had this great love, I'm still not buying it - and was never sold on the idea in the first place. I think what we're seeing is John 'needing' to solve this case and rescue someone in a way that he wasn't able to save Caitlin. If I had my way, John and Natalie would have beat the odds and lived happily ever after, playing pool at Rodi's! However, I don't see that 'reality' happening, even in the 'fictional' town of Llanview, so I guess if I had to pick another partner for John it would be Blair - after all, they are sizzling hot together! On the other hand, I can't imagine 'a Todd' without 'a Blair' and so on and so forth… Okay, now that I've gone totally off the deep end, on with my thoughts…
Dorian puts out a hit on Ray!
"I want Ray Montez removed from Langston's life permanently," Dorian instructed Jackie as she stuffed an envelope of cash in his designer suit… Though I'm not a big fan of Dorian's scheming ways, I was so happy that she didn't back down to Clint and give him B.E. back! I bet sometimes we all wish we had friends like Jackie McNaughton in our back pockets! As I told you before, I'm not happy about A Martinez's (Ray Montez) upcoming exit, but I will be eager to see how it all goes down!
Jared suspects Tess! (Soaps.com)
"He's on to you, isn't he?" Natalie taunted Tess in regards to Jared… Someone finally realized that Jess is Tess! Way to go Jared! Although I am a fan of Tess, I must say, watching her tell Natalie that Rex had died was low. Tess is starting to mess up, and lose control, as she started to realize that others might be on to her. And remember, when this happens is when Tess is the most dangerous! Then there's Tina paying Natalie a visit in the secret room… Come on, if she was going to try to help her, Tess threatening her or not, I think she should have done it a longtime ago. Tina could have easily turned to Bo for help, but again, her greediness to hold on to the crowned jewels has gotten the best of her - even if she is starting to show some signs of retaliation against Tess! With Jared finally having found Natalie, I'm betting there will soon be two guests sharing the basement suite - not a spoiler, just my 'thoughts'!
Adriana grows a conscience?
"Do you think I'm wrong to keep Gigi away? What if he needs to hear her voice? He sure doesn't want to hear mine. If he dies, it's my fault," Adriana cried to Layla… Just when I thought Adriana was going to do what's best for Rex, her pain drew her back into her Dorian-like self - even after she vowed not to be that person. Though I want Gigi, Rex and Shane to be a family, I can't help feeling sorry for Adriana, and I truly think she realizes just how much she's lost. However, with Rex's life on the line, Adriana needs to leave her insecurities at the door!
Cris attempts to bring two stowaways to Llanview…
"I'll be there," Cris promised Vanessa that he'd watch over her in Llanview… I'm convinced that Ray's estranged wife Vanessa, and his daughter Lola, are up to something! The situation is just too strange to me, but I have to give kudos to Vanessa… If she had to pick anyone to rescue her who better to pick than the honorable Cristian Vega - who always seems to find himself in one pickle or another! When your life is filled with this much drama who needs a soap opera - or me ranting about one!
Puddle Of Muddle to make a muddy splash in Llanview!
"Everything's so blurry, and everyone's so fake..." Amy sings Puddle of Mudd's "Blurry" to herself in anticipation... This week, we reported that the awesome rock band Puddle of Mudd will be making a stop in Llanview come December! I couldn't be more excited about this, since they are one of my favorites! If you want a sneak peek at the song they'll be performing at Ultra Violet, and can't wait till the episode airs in December, I've included the video for you in the OLTL News Room!
