Blair serenades John! (Soaps.com)
Welcome to Amy's
"One Life in a Week!" (Sept 2-5)

Even though we didn't get to see a new episode on Monday, September 1, 2008, I hope you all enjoyed the long holiday weekend and were able to dive back into Llanview on Tuesday!

Todd and Marty as parents - again!

We started out the week with a bang, and I about lost it when Todd suggested to Marty that she help him raise his grandchild - their grandchild! I found myself screaming at the screen yelling, "Marty, think hard… children… a child… Cole… Todd… Starr… It's your grandchild!" While most think that Marty will lash out at Todd after finding out the truth, I'm wondering if she won't look at his actions through a doctor's eye and totally understand why he did the things he did when she was under his care! But again, is he doing it to ease the guilt of his past, or is Todd really falling for his victim? I'm totally confused at where the show is going with this one, but I can't say that I'm not enjoying the ride - especially now that Marty appears to be having the same feelings! Boy, talk about what a major heartbreak this is going to be when she learns the truth!

John McBain is a man on a mission!

It was nice seeing John call in a favor for once - and who better to call than the cute computer geek turned cop, Oliver Fish! One thing I was shocked to see was John taking a break from work to meet up with Blair for a serenade at Capricorn! Hearing Kassie DePaiva (Blair) sing again onscreen was a treat in itself, but I really like how they tied it in with her current romance with John. After all, he should be able to appreciate good music, as his mother, Eve, sang at a cabaret for years - and still does as far as I know!

Marcie and her choices...

While some may feel sorry for Marcie, and agree that this is her only chance to have another child, I'm totally on Michael's side with this one and can't believe she would throw her love for the man, and her marriage, down the tubes to raise Starr's baby. Being a mother myself, I sympathize with her situation, but I still stick by my word and think she should choose Michael first. Maybe she'll have second thoughts after having caught a glimpse of Michael with Layla at Capricorn! I can't say I'm too keen on that coupling - if it happens - but Brody and Layla together… That would be interesting!

Todd's apology - and motives!

Okay, so we all know that Todd's heartfelt apology at the birthing class was a total fake, and that he has more up his sleeve than an attempt to make everyone think he's sorry. He has this great plan to raise Starr's baby, so now I'm just wondering how will Todd go about it? Will he borrow Jessica's secret room to store Marcie after he kidnaps Starr's baby from her? Or will he think really far ahead and kidnap his own daughter before the birth! If the latter is the case, it reminds me of another Manning birth - When Spencer held Margaret in an abandoned warehouse and delivered little Sam Manning with the help of Paige Miller! Again, bravo to the show for keeping us on our toes!

Tess's secret room! (Soaps.com)
Tina and Roxy are a match made in heaven!

I loved watching the women bond over admitting their past mistakes and think they could give half the men in Llanview a run for their money - or, more to the point, their wallets, which leads me to my funniest quote of the week… When Tina told Roxy that she said the wrong man's name [Cord] during her wedding to Max, Roxy asked, "Is that why he's so cold to me, cause he's into guys?"

Tess's plush secret room!

Wow, after seeing Tess's secret room, it looks as though she took a page out of Martha Stewart's book and opted not to use Viki's version of the room as an example! Heck, it may even be featured on a new episode of MTV cribs! I guess if I were going to be kidnapped by my sister, I'd hope she'd do the same for me! Speaking of sisters, I wonder if Viki will realize that hers is missing when she returns in October! I was surprised that Tina finally realized what was going on with 'Jessica', especially since we were to believe that Viki hadn't talked to Tina for years - let alone catch her up on Jessica's Tess-side!

While waiting for a fight back to Llanview...

The whole airport scene was buzzing with drama, but seeing Cris get kidnapped didn't exactly surprise me... I won't say anymore for fear of slipping out a spoiler or two! Stay tuned fans, as I'll be talking to David Fumero (Cris) on the phone later today and will be bringing you an interview with the super hottie next week!

Nora marks her territory!

We got to see Nora's feisty side again this week, and I personally was happy to see her put Clint in his place by reminding him that the mansion is hers - and loved it when she said she had no plans of leaving! Oh where, oh where has the Clint we all knew and loved gone... Oh where, oh where can he be?

Poor Rex, Gigi and Shane...

Okay, before I go any further, let me just say that I do like Brody, and I can accept that Brody has grown close to Shane - and that he doesn't like Rex. However, for Brody to put Gigi in the position he has, knowing she loves Rex, and using this so-called paternity test to his advantage - and using Shane as well, for that matter... my heart just breaks for everyone involved. Give him another punch for me, Rex!

Thanks for joining me for another week of Amy's "One Life in a Week!" Whether you agree, or disagree, please always feel free to leave your comments below - and don't forget to vote in the poll!
