OLTL Wins Drama Series Directing - and Writing - Team!
Welcome to Soaps.com's 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards live blog for One Life to Live!

8:00 PM EST: The wait is finally over, and I’m excited to bring you all of the One Life to Live highlights from the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards live!

As we know, One Life to Live is up for an award for Outstanding Drama Series and actor Brian Kerwin (Charlie Banks) is in the running for Outstanding Supporting Actor!

In case anyone missed the 35th Annual Creative Arts Awards last Friday night, One Life to Live walked away with awards in the following categories: Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design For A Drama Series, Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Direction For A Drama Series, and Outstanding Original Song (for both “Chemistry” and “Little Starr”)!

We can expect to see Kassie DePaiva (Blair), Michael Easton (John), Susan Haskell (Marty), John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex) and Farah Fath (Gigi) presenting awards tonight, so sit back and refresh this page often, as I’ll be updating the live blog with details regarding all of the One Life to Live action as I see it! Best of luck to the show and to Brian Kerwin, who has brought his character of Charlie to life and has intertwined him into a couple of very high profile storylines!

Now on with the show!

8:01 PM EST: The festivities are in full swing and I'm laughing over here watching our hosts Sherry and Cameron as they cross wires - and interrupt daytime - to find each other! OMG, Erica escaped!

8:03 PM EST: There's our OLTL cast at their table waving to us now!

8:20 PM EST How cute! There's Cameron sitting with Brandon Buddy (Cole) and Kristen Anderson (Starr) at the OLTL table!

8:21 PM EST: Go OLTL - nominated for Outstanding Drama Series! Look at all the awesome clips from the show! Ouch! I just felt Blair's slap - and I'm tearing up watching Asa's death!

Micheal Easton (John McBain)! (Soaps.com)
8:31 PM EST: Kassie DePaiva (Blair), Michael Easton (John) [insert Amy screaming here: I love you Johnny McBain - attitude and all!] and Susan Haskell (Marty) present the award for Outstanding Younger Actress! And the winner is ATWT's Jennifer Landon (Gwen)! Congrats!

8:50 PM EST: AMC's Debbie Morgan (Angie), Darnell Williams (Jesse) and Cornelius Smith (Frankie) are presenting the award for Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team - and we won! OLTL won! Congrats to the show's fabulous directors!

9:02 PM EST: Days' Alison Sweeney (Sami), Arianne Zucker (Nicole) and Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) are presenting the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor... And the winner is... Fingers crossed for our OLTL Brian Kerwin... Y&R's Kristoff St. John (Neil)! Although Brian didn't take home the award this year, you're still a winner in our eyes! We love you, Brian!

9:07 PM EST: GH's Kirsten Storms (Maxie), Jason Cook (Matt) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) present the award for Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team - and we won again! OLTL won! Major congrats to all of our awesome writers!

9:15 PM EST: John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex) and Farah Fath (Gigi) present the award for Outstanding Talk Show! Opening envelope... and winner is Rachael Ray! Congrats!

9:56 PM EST: Barbara Walters presents the award for Outstanding Drama Series! Oh, please, oh, please, please let the envelope say One Life to Live! And this year's winner is General Hospital... Darn it, I just hit my head on the computer! Well, I'm a good sport so... Congrats to GH! Though One Life to Live didn't win, we did take home two huge awards!

10:00 PM EST: It’s a wrap, everyone! Though this year’s show is over, there is more excitement yet to come! Right now, Soaps.com’s very own Editor-In-Chief Christine Fix, and reporter Shannon Burrell, as well as our friend Shaun Proulx from ProudFM, are backstage at the Emmys getting the scoop for our readers as we speak! I have to say, after meeting Buddy and Kristen that I'm completely adoring of them. Last night, we got the scoop on how Kristen researched for her teen preggers role. She's a really lovely girl, very sweet, very genuine. More on that later.

Too bad Kristen didn't win an award the award for Outstanding Young Actress. She is doing an excellent job with the teen pregnancy s/l!
