The wait is over fans, it's official! Susan Haskell has just confirmed on her Official Website that she'll be returning to the show as Marty in June! We'll be sure to keep you posted when her first airdate is released! Watch out Llanview, things are about to heat up!

Previously reported on April 21, 2008:

Back on December 4, 2007 we all saw the van blow up, with One Life to Live’s Marty Thornhart inside it. However, given Lee Ramsey’s new mysterious houseguest, many fans are now wondering, “Is she really dead or has Lee been holding her captive this whole time?”

If you’ve been following this storyline you’ll know that it’s rumored that the show is trying to lure original Marty creator, Susan Haskell, back to the role. Since Christina Chambers was let go from the part in December 2007, fans haven’t given up hope of a character return – or accepted that Marty is really dead.

Many are reporting that Susan is indeed coming back to One Life to Live, but as of yet there has not been an official release from the network. In fact, a representative at ABC/OLTL just told Soaps.com today…

“We do not comment on rumors.”

Although we don’t like to fuel the rumor mill either, we’ve seen many of these big returns pan out and only hope this one will as well! I too think marty is still alive, she could fo gotten out of that van before it exploded even though i haven't seen the episode....She will survive it. Her son needs her!!

I would LOVE for Marty to return. If it is Susan, then GREAT. But I loved Christina as Marty too. She and John were HOT HOT HOT!
And poor Cole really needs his mother back!

I's sorry, but writers insist on bringing back this boring character, then let it be the original Marty. The recent Marty did nothing for me and the chemistry between her and John was not good.

Writers are trying to make us think that John and Marty were so in love. They had one night together and then she was supposedly killed. Let it go.

The old Marty will be nice but so will the old Marty. She look so good as Cole's Mother. I have no idea why they let her go.

I thought firing of Christina Chambers was awful! She played this role great and was a terrific actress and had good chemistry with John. They should at least have considered re-casting christina chambers as Tea Delgato.

I really want Marty to return..I liked the other actress as well and would have liked them to write her in as someone else...Cole needs Marty and she is gonna be a grandma...she will save cole from todd..lol

i am so excited, i did feel bad the other marty was fired but i think the original is better, i am so looking forward to seeing marty, carlo and tina all return, one life will be awesome this summer.
