OLTL: Will Kevin and Joey Return To Llanview? Wednesday, March 19 2008

Given all the chaos going on over at Buchanan Enterprises since Asa’s death, the Buchanan clan has rallied together in an attempt to stop the sabotage against their namesake company! Although we have only heard mention of Kevin and Joey’s presence in all this through conference calls, some fans are wondering if One Life to Live will reprise their characters for the storyline.

When we contacted ABC to try to clear the air and dispel the recent rumors of a return, an ABC Rep. would only say…

“We do not comment on rumors.”

Although we can still hope that the two sons of Viki Davidson, adopted by Clint Buchanan, will rush home from London and help stake a claim on the family’s legacy, the question is who would play the roles should this return take place?

First let’s start with Joey… The obvious choices for a recast, or should we say a re-recast since these stars have all played the character in the past, would be either Nathan Fillion (who appeared from 1994 to 1997 and most recently in August of 2007), Don Jeffcoat (Joey from 1997 to January 2001) or Bruce Michael Hall (who took over for a time in 2003).

Now on to Kevin who, by the way, has to be the most notorious recast character in soap history today! Played by eleven actors since 1976, and there may have been a few more during his baby years, the ones who stand out in our mind to come back would be Dan Gauthier (2003 - November 2006 and most recently appearing in August of 2007), Timothy Gibbs (1998 to March 2001) or Kevin Stapleton (1996 to 1998).

On the other hand, is there another recently released actor – or one who we haven’t seen in daytime for ages – who you think would be a great candidate for either character?
