Robin Strasser Staying Through 2009!

Tuesday, January 29 2008

Robin Strasser (ABC)
With all the One Life to Live Comings and Goings as of late, some were worried we were going to lose one the show’s biggest players once her contract expired next month. However, have no fear, Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord) has just inked a little bit of assurance and plans to definitely stay on for another year, which will bring us into February of 2009!

After graduating from the School of Performing Arts, Robin attended the Yale School of Drama on a full scholarship. She loved theater so much that she continued performing on stage while working in daytime, appearing on Broadway in such productions as The Shadow Box and Chapter Two. In 2004, Robin performed at the Papermill Playhouse in The Tale of the Allergist's Wife. The Emmy award-winning actress also has several primetime television credits under her belt including Baby M, Glitz, Blind Faith, Lady Boss, Knots Landing, and Coach, along with guest-star appearances on Murphy Brown, Dear John, Murder She Wrote, China Beach, The Young Riders, Highway to Heaven, Civil Wars and Dharma and Greg.

Some fans may not realize this, but Robin hasn’t always been Dorian Lord and has made a few other splashes throughout daytime during her impressive career. She appeared in a few episodes of All My Children as Dr. Christina Karras Martin, as Hecuba on Passions, as Rachel Davis in the late sixties and early seventies of Another World and as Iris Ocasek from 1964 to 1966 on The Secret Storm.

Robin leads workshops on yoga as a certified Level-One Kripalu Yoga teacher to lend support for mid-life transition. She loves to hike, cook, and has renovated eighteen houses and apartments. Sharing her home with her fifteen-pound Maltese, Robin has declared 'Scooter' to be her surrogate daughter.

Soaps.com wants to congratulate Robin on her contract extension! We couldn’t be happier that Dorian will be staying in Llanview to unleash more havoc on those who cross her!

One Life to Live would NOT be the same without "Dorian". I remember when she left years ago and was glad when she returned. I always loved her with David Vickers (hope Tuc's stint on Desperate Housewives works out for him)they had this humorous relationship chemistry. Liked her with Clint to, his loss. Just wanted to thank Robin for her years of entertainment on OLTL!
