While newer One Life to Live fans may be wondering, who the heck is that, those who watched the show back in the 1980’s know all about Pamela – better known as Asa’s (Phil Carey) fifth wife! Out of the blue, come January 18, 2008, Pamela will make an appearance, but for what? Asa’s reading of the will is over… All of his finances have been delegated. Some think the ‘newest’ member of the Buchanan clan could have something to do with her arrival… However, we’ll have to stay tuned to find out!
Although Christine first took on the role in 1986, she briefly appeared on the show in 1981 as a temporary replacement for Erika Slezak as Victoria Lord. Prior to her time on OLTL she played Amy Gifford on Another World then went on as a fill-in as Tracy Quartermaine Williams on General Hospital in 1989 – just to name a few of her well-known appearances.
Though the last time we saw Pamela in Llanview was in 2001 when she returned to mourn one of the many ‘faked’ deaths of the late, great Asa Buchanan, the mystery behind this latest revisit is sure to keep us on our toes!
