Many fans have been wondering when or if Melissa Fumero (Adriana) will be leaving the show. She confirmed to Soaps.com back on November 5, 2007 that she was in fact leaving but then ended up extending her stay. However, Melissa has now told Soaps.com that she has taped her last scenes with the show as of this past May 2008 and is pretty sure her final air date will be June 10, 2008. Melissa also expressed, "And the scenes are pretty sad." We want to thank Melissa for everything she gave to her character, Adriana, during the last four years. We'll miss you dearly!

Although we received word from Melissa Gallo, now Fumero, back on November 5, 2007 that she was initially supposed to leave the show shortly after her contract expired at the end of January 2008, it appears she'll be sticking around for a bit longer - but ultimately still has plans to leave the show. A final air date has yet to be released. However, we'll keep you posted!

While rumors have been flying around the net since last May saying that Melissa Gallo would be leaving her role as Adriana Cramer on One Life to Live, the actress has now confirmed to Soaps.com the most recent ones to be true.

With her contract coming to an end in January 2008, Melissa will leave shortly afterward giving the show plenty of time to tie up some loose ends regarding her storyline. Although she’s expressed enjoying the time she’s spent on the set since taking over the role from Amanda Cortinas back in January 2004, Melissa is looking forward to opening herself up to all the opportunities available to her in the acting world and told Soaps.com…

"It is very bittersweet for me. The past four years have been amazing and life changing, I mean I did meet my future husband after all because of One Life!! Everyone at the show has been so good to me and I will miss them all dearly. And everyone is so suppportive of my decision to take the leap and see what happens. Melissa as Adriana (Soaps.com)
Born and raised in New Jersey, Melissa is the daughter of Cuban-born parents who moved to and settled in the United States. In December 2003, she graduated from New York University to which she received a BFA in drama. Being a dancer since childhood, fans can catch Melissa strutting her moves in her 2007 film Tiny Dancer.

Soaps.com wants to wish Melissa the very best in whatever her future holds, which includes her upcoming wedding to One Life to Live co-star David Fumero (Cristian Vega)! We’ll miss you dearly! However, fans, Melissa’s exit will not affect David – as he is still contracted with the show.

There were rumors about Melissa leaving the soap a while back. I always say rumors start from some where. I guess someone else will replace her.

I'm sad to see Melissa go. I think she is a great actress and I will miss seeing her on OLTL. Rex and Adriana are one of my favorite couples, and if the character is recast, I only hope the actress will be able to bring even something close to what Melissa brought to the role. I wish her all of the best in the future career choices and in her upcoming marriage to David Fumero.

I like Melissa Gallo, but I really do not like her character, Adriana Cramer. I'm happy to see this character go! Maybe they can bring her back as Cassie Callison. I think she did the best she could with the character she was supposed to play, but sadly, Adriana just isn't likable, IMO.

I really like the character Adriana, I hope hat they will replace her with someone to do the role justice unstead of killing her off.

I'm sad to see that Melissa Fumero is leaving. I think she is a very great actress very pretty. I love her character Adriana and she looked so good with Rex. I just wish they had not turn her into such a Dorian. It is sad to see her turn into her mother. Still love the character. I really hope they do not plan to have Christian leave because I love him to. Good luck Melissa and congrat on you marriage to the cute David Fumero. Also great to see that you took his last name because lots of actors don't change their last name. God luck in your future.

I am glad to see her go I did not like the fact that you turned her into her mother when gigi came into the picture and I hope you let rex and her get a divorce because i would really like to see rex and gigi together.

I really liked Adriana in the beginning and up until she turned into Dorian Jr. At least she admits she has turned into a miserable witch just like her mother. She has seen the errors of her ways and while she was telling Rex the truths, she should also had dragged him to Gigi's place and demand her to tell Rex the truth about Shane's real father or she will, that way Adriana would have nothing more to hide from Rex. And maybe they will still have a chance at a real marriage. But I know that in the long run, Rex and Gigi will end up together, especially when he finds out that Shane is his son. Also Rex does have strong feelings for Gigi.

Listen here, the scenes were not so sad. She got what she deserved and I hope she never comes back. However, I wish Melissa Fumero well and hope her career goes further than this soap.

Amy you posted that Melissa was born and raised in New Jersey, yet her Cuban born parents came to the United States as teenagers in December 2003. Is there a mistake some where?
